I am still thinking 2017. I too think we are a few months out. Even if Mosul is cleared out today doesn't mean they will RV tomorrow.  But I think it will be the catalyst to see the pace pick up.

Military issued media cell, Onfogravek illustrates the liberated areas of Nineveh and liberated the province until the date on Sunday.
And it received "Tomorrow Press", which Alanfogravek explains, "the liberated areas in green and areas of engagement in red, and areas is liberated in black."

Khandan - Federal police chief , said the team Raed Shakir Jawdat, said that police forces besieging al - Nuri mosque in Mosul, noting that the main objective of his troops to reach the mosque and the lighthouse of humpback. 

The federal police chief said in remarks to the site "seventh day" the Egyptian, the ancient city densely populated and civilians in the presence of alleys, pointing to the barricaded elements of the organization "Daesh" terrorist thousands of civilians, adding that the federal police surrounded the Mosque of Al - Nouri of the three axes and is now 300 meters from him.

And about the assistance provided by the Federal Police for displaced people, he confirmed that the police were able to transfer 260 thousand displaced people and 50 thousand food parcels and to provide medical and health support and evacuation services of water and electricity, adding that the troops opened five outlets to remove civilians trapped inside the city. 
 
Federal police chief confirmed that he has been cut off supplies and outlets that supply the elements of the "Daesh" terrorist weapons.

An updated version of Mosul map showing the latest developments in the battle to recapture ISIS-held areas in Nineveh Governorate, particularly the city's right bank, has been obtained by The Baghdad Post on Sunday.

On the map, the spots marked in green represent the previously ISIS-held areas that have been liberated.  

As the map shows, the white spots represent the parts of the war-torn city where ISIS is still controlling.

In Mosul, there are areas still witnessing clashes between the Iraqi forces, backed by international coalition, and ISIS terrorists. They are marked in orange on the map.

The map was released by Nineveh Media Center on May 7th.

In a statement, the Center said it renews its commitment to neutrality when covering stories of the battles and the other issues. Our aim is nothing but the truth, the statement concluded. 

Publishing the maps relating to the progress of the Iraqi forces in Mosul is done after contacts with multiple military sources and local officials, it added.

Commander of the Federal Police Units declared on Saturday the Rapid Response Forces are advancing on al-Hirmat neighborhood northwest of Mosul.

The forces have taken control of the district's key buildings and evacuated citizens besieged there after it recaptured large parts of the area from the clutches of ISIS terrorists, an informed source told the Baghdad Post.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, said the Iraqi forces killed 15 terrorists affiliated with ISIS and destroyed eight booby trapped vehicles.

The Iraqi forces are pushing on ISIS in the right bank of Mosul since February 19th with the aid of the US-led coalition.

Most of the city are now ISIS-free, with dozens of the terror group's operatives are being killed on a daily basis.

The Iraqi Army's 9th Division announced on Saturday the arrest of the so-called "police chief of ISIS" in Mosul's Hamam al-Alil.

The terrorist was infiltrating the displaced people in Musheirefah on the right bank of Mosul.

The Iraqi army's intelligence arrested the terrorist in Mosul while he was hiding amid the displace people who are fleeing the war-torn areas, a source said.

The Iraqi forces are pushing on ISIS in the right bank of Mosul since February 19th with the aid of the US-led coalition.

Most of the city are now ISIS-free, with dozens of the terror group's operatives are being killed on a daily basis.

Security forces storm 1st Mushayrifa, Wadi Ekab districts in Mosul

Iraqi security forces stormed two new districts to regain them from ISIS terrorist group in Mosul city of Nineveh governorate..
 

The forces advanced into 1st Mushayrifa and  Wadi Ekab  districts in Mosul within the forces’ efforts to cordon off the northern and northwestern areas of the city.

These efforts are part of an Offensive launched on 19th of February by the US-backed Iraqi forces, supported by Iranian-backed sectarian IMIS Shiite militias to oust ISIS terrorists from Mosul, their last major stronghold in Iraq.

More details will be reported soon.

Chief of Staff of the Iraqi army Gen. Osman al-Ghanemi said on Saturday Mosul will be declared completely ISIS-free within few days.

The armed forces will declare the full control over the city, and the killing of all terrorists there, he added.

Iraqi joint forces fought fiercely, showing that its capabilities are on par with the world's top armies, Ghanemi stated.

The Iraqi forces managed to attain victory in surgical operations that will be taught at military academies in the future, he went on to say.

The Iraqi forces, of all its branches, killed over 6,000 terrorists and evacuated over half a million civilians from the war-ravaged areas.

On his part, General Abdul Karim Khalaf, adviser of Arab European Counterterrorism Center said Mosul Battle is actually finished, and the remnants of ISIS terrorists are deemed to be dead.

The fighters of the Iraqi army showed great ability to control and maintain ground, he added.

The Iraqi forces are pushing on ISIS in the right bank of Mosul since February 19th with the aid of the US-led coalition.

Most of the city are now ISIS-free, with dozens of the terror group's operatives are being killed on a daily basis.

New anti-ISIS offensive launched in Diyala

Degla operations commander Gen. Mozher al-Azawi declared on Saturday the launch of an anti-ISIS offensive in four sprawling parts of Diyala.

Joint forces from the armed forces and the police, as well as IMIS terrorist militiamen, have launched a wide-ranging campaign in four areas in Diyala including Hawd al-Nada, Hamrin, Wadi Thlab and Qazlaq Hills.

He also added the army managed to destroy a booby-trapped car in Qazlaq Hills and arrested a terror suspect.

The operation aims to annihilate ISIS sleeper cells in the area as well as enhancing security presence there.
