US Informs Iraq About Maliki's Attempts to Organize a Coup: Report

ERBIL — Former Iraqi prime minister Nuri al-Maliki, with the support of Iran, has been preparing for a coup attempt to take over the power in Iraq and the US has warned the central government of Baghdad. According to a report by Turkiye Gazetesi, Nuri Maliki, who is currently the Iraqi VP, has established a parallel army within the official Iraqi army while he was in power in 2006-2014. Relying on diplomatic sources, the source said that the United States has officially requested the Iraqi government via President Trump's advisor Jared Kushner to remove of 785 military officials from the government. The US delegation has informed the Iraqi government that these officials are receiving instructions from the commander of Iran's Quds Brigade Qassen Soleimani and that they are acting on Maliki's order. "The United States has called on the Iraqi official administration through President Trump's senior advisor Jared Kushner to suspend 785 senior officers in the army, security forces and directors of the key departments," Secretary General of the European Department for Security and Information, Haissam Bou Said said on Tuesday. He added that the US believes that those officials are implementing the Iranian agendas, specifically the agendas drawn up by Major General Qassem Soleimani, Iran's Quds Force commander, with support from the Iraqi VP Nuri al-Maliki. Maliki served as the Iraqi PM from 2006 to 2014 and has been blamed for the security failure and corruption in the country. Moreover, during his reign, hundreds of Sunni figures and officials who opposed Iran's interventions in the Iraqi internal affairs were assassinated.

Bama Girl Thanks,  DV,  All hell is about to break loose now.  President DJT & SEC DEF will not allow this to happen.  Maliki & Iran have dealt the wrong hand with this move so watch for serious action to follow if they attempt this coup.  Darn idiots....😊😁😊

Holy crap. If this is true what else does Abadi and crew need to arrest Maliki and crew. Bust a cap on Maliki as he resists his arrest. Do we have enough assets over there to fight the battle that will come up if they actually try this coup? Blockade Irannian waters if we are forced to do what we do not want to do.

Before they will act parliament will discuss it .. thats if everyone turns up ... then recess the parliament for a period of days  and someone then will announce that "soon" or "in the coming days" we will issue a warrant for Malicki's arrest ...

Please pardon lightheartedness about a serious situation ...

If the US is telling PM to remove 785 military officials from the government ok, PM has done a hell of a job in last 2 years, even executed some.  We all agree that Maliki needs  a special resting place, my creative    :drunk:   mind can come up with a few and sure you all have a place picked for him also !!  President Trump needs to come home and clean out all the bugs where they may be. Every person needs to take a lie detector test, if they fail prosecute them now and make an example of them. Then Sessions needs to go back the last 8 years and do the same thing to all of them. How many want Bambam to take a lie detector?? Hope they have a lot of them, I'm sure he and his cabinet  will burn out a bunch of them. lol

 for now

What more can this guy get away with? surely this is the final straw? Come on Abadi, now is the time to lock this down once and for all.

Take the necessary action NOW!!

Something will be happening very soon, and we hope it isn't a civil war -  THAT would almost certainly split Iraq into at least three parts, and end out hopes for the dinar.

...and stop calling me Shirley.

Ha!

I'm pretty sure Iran would not be that stupid. That is why they are trying to get all this crap done through their puppet....

They are that stupid jcfrag. Remember they have a pretty good rep for all the evil they have done and gotten away with around the ME and the world.

The coup thing was used by Maliki himself to issue an arrest warrant for his

vice pres. The vp then had to run to Kurdistan and out of the country. Question

is Maliki still in Iran for medical reasons? I think he had wind of this coming. Maybe

Abadi better get to work on those 785 pink slips. The Turkey Pres arrested thousands

and survived quite nicely. LoL
