Ya, kind a.....Way back before those I think we just tossed the 8 tracks as there was no way to fix them.

I repaired quite a few of the 8 tracks. Only because I was a fixer and did not like tossing things before I tried to repair them.

Try as I would to try to get all the eaten up tape out and splice what was left I really never had any luck.....Lose one of my favorites to the 8 track deck....Uriah Heap, Demons and Wizards.

Another barbaric form of surgery that has gone the way of the dinasour!  That reminds  me of that scene from the Star Trek movie ( when they pulled the original crew out of retirement) and went back in time to "save the whales"...and Bones criticized our barbaric methods of medical treatment!!!  We is so old we might be in danger of being mistaken for fossil fuel!
