Let the Can Kicking Begin

Recommended Posts

I keep reading post after post about the 27th to the 30th and how Monday will be the day to head to the banks. Then it was Friday the 5th to Monday the 8th letting us down a little at a time.

Then comes the guru  full kicker....Mid to the end of May.

Personally I do not believe Mosul will be completely liberated by tomorrow and so I would not hold my breath. We are looking more at mid May or even end of May.

A couple weeks ago, there was mention of 2,900 ISIS recently killed in Mosul with less than a thousand estimated remaining. In al-Tenak district alone recently taken there were 500 ISIS killed. There likely are very little more being pressed into battle with no more reinforcements and some surrendering or deserting, if not caught. I suspect there are maybe a few hundred left at best and they are spread real thin and likely can not hold many, if any, defenses. Coupled with scarcity of food and dwindling munitions, ISIS can do little more than fight vigorously to the death with a few suicide charges. Looks like other ISiS held areas in Iraq are also being taken. The ISIS held areas on the maps may be accurate but I suspect they are at least a few days old and progress is further than published. I may be wrong but I suspect the Mosul operations should wrap up fairly quickly. There may be a few challenges outside Mosul but those should likely wrap up quickly, too, since the towns are smaller with less strategic or symbolic significance to ISIS while senior ISIS leaders are very scarce and ISIS communications difficult.

Just my opinion and :twocents:

Go Moola Nova!

In the last 7yrs nothing ever really changes.  A constant barrage of articles to read but never any movement.  Iraq is a country of fraudulent greedy politicians who don't want  things to change. And they haven't and my not.  My two cents.   IMHO

I think I hit a Nerve with one of the Pumper Gurus and he might not have been happy about being called up.....I see one thing is the So Called Guru's only post on a place no one can challenge or question them.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I am getting a little weary of the people boo hooing everyday about "the can getting kicked down the road"... "are we there yet"... "I don't think this will ever happen..." "Mosul won't get done until June or July"   ...THE CBI JUST TOLD YOU!  and they didn't say July...  Articles:  "

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I seriously wonder what they think they have to gain with all the B.S. You would think it would get old after a while, they might grow up and go out and find out what it is like to get laid. Just maybe these so called Guru's (with the exception of one or two) need to really get out of Momma's Basement, off her computer and get a life.

Mom and Dad want the computer time to...hell, after raising these snowflakes today I would want Major Porn to make me forget.

Just sayin,

The other can to kick is SECURITY.

Did you think monetary reform would happen RIGHT when Mosul was supposedly liberated?

THINK AGAIN!

IS/Daash/ExtremistGodlessMonkeys are STILL holding territory in Iraq.

We have to wait till they're ALL gone.

Hell, I remember when people were pumping an imminent RV when AMERICAN troops were still in action there!

Gimme a break.

Then we have to endure reconstruction. Mosul is Iraq's SECOND LARGEST city and most of it is in RUINS.

Meanwhile the Kurds are wanting their sovereign area. If it doesn't happen before Iraq territory is finalized, it will never happen.

Don't rely on a single "event" that will open the door to monetary reform.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but we have YEARS to go yet.

You've  made some very factual thought out observations concerning the situation in Iraq...There will never be a total liberation of terrorism in the M/E...From the beginning of time one Islamic tribe has been declaring Jihad on someone and if they can't find a foreigners...they just declare Jihad on one of the other tribes...Hell, they were fighting each other when this young kid put a rock in a sling-shot and took out a gaint...The total devastation in the entire country of Iraq has a silver-lining, in that it will employ the private sector for decades to come...90% of Iraq is in a condemned situation and needs to be hauled off or demolished, torn down and rebuilt...People, equipment and materials will all be needed to reestablish a quality standards of living...Yes, it will take several years for Iraq to reach their potential...but that does not mean Iraq's economy has to be halted until everything falls into place...The issue with the Kurt's and their sovereign territory will happen through negotiations as has happened in the Kurds establishing their tribesmen in Parliament and their presidence on the battlefield...
