Fascists Shut Down Portland Parade

Having spent two years in Portland on various projects,(a children's hospital, a veterans hospital, and several processor chip manufacturers), as well as visiting P.I.R. several weekends every year, it is obvious  locals there love their Rose Parade.

In a display of almost unimaginable ignorance , the city has capitulated to threats from democrats, who, in their own display of almost unimaginable hypocrisy, have decided republicans do not "deserve" their right to free speech.

There are millions of people from all over the state that attend the parade, there are thousands of people that spend the entire year planning and building the floats they drive in the parade, and there are vendors have already spent thousands reserving booth space.

The lack of any backbone in the city council is breathtaking....  DM

 

 

Portland cancelled the 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade and Carnival after Antifa, a Communist group, threatened to physically attack the Multnomah County Republicans who were planning to march in the parade. Antifa said they would assemble 200 followers to carry out the threat. Instead of defending citizens’ right to hold a peaceful parade, the city council and mayor canceled the event. This sent a message to Antifa that it is OK to threaten violence if the threat comes from the left. [We can only wonder what the politicians would have done if the threats had come from the Republicans.]

I've seen the same type of thing happen at other times. 
At anti-illegal gatherings being shut down due the violent protesters, expected dusruption, and high cost of security.

Rewarding the criminals and shutting out the peaceful.

In fact, they cut the cross to become a plus symbol, and declare "universal positivism".
