The Englishman
Majority of Iraqis Trust Abadi to Run Office for Second Term: Survey Basnews English 24/04/2017 - 17:39 Iraq ERBIL— Most of the residents of the southern and central Iraqi provinces believe that the Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi is qualified to run for another term, according to the results of a survey. The survey, conducted by the Shorouq Media Foundation, indicated that the people who voted for al-Abadi believe that he has passed the difficult exams. The participants of the survey, who come from different walks of life and are of different ages, said that al-Abadi "was able" to beat the Islamic State (IS) organization by expelling the jihadists from the cities of Falluja and Tikrit and by launching the Mosul operation, which is reaching its end. Unofficial reports point to the possibility that al-Abadi may form a new front for the upcoming elections in the country in opposition to the front that will be led by former two-term runner Nouri al- Maliki.

10 YEARS LATER
Abadi will have tremendous support after he pulls off the " Immanent RV "
bkeiller
Once Abadi is voted back in, he will have a mandate to deal with Maliki and a whole host of other issues. Will the RV hit before then?
ChuckFinley
He will, and should, get a lot of support from the international community to bring this guy to justice.
The Englishman
Remove Maliki from all politics and preferably take away his freedom and then you get a Iraq with great potential and a level of confidence not seen for many years, investment and growth will soar without the uncertainty and fear that this man Maliki can ever get back in to power. In my view he is rotten to the core and his presence is creating an obstacle for all, he needs taking down, then watch your investment grow.
