They cannot be racist, chauvinistic old white guys...

Leaning forward with an assumption usually illustrates an imbalance not to mention a bias.

Fox News Channel continued to wear cable’s prime time ratings crown last week, according to Nielsen.

Fox News averaged 2.3 million viewers top all cable networks for the week of April 10 to April 16, according to Nielsen. Fox News topped the prime time ratings charts for the 12th time in the last 13 weeks even as Bill O'Reilly, host of the network's highest rated series The O’Reilly Factor, was on vacation for the majority of the week. Even without a full week of O’Reilly – who recently has been mired in controversy regarding several sexual harassment complaints – the series finished the week with three of cable's top 10 most watched shows, according to Nielsen.

True that George... Let's see their ratings in the November book... Ad agencies only go by two books, November and May... February and July ratings are considered through away numbers. The reason you ask? February is generally re-runs and July is when people watch far less television. November is after the new fall seasons have begun and May is after the secondary season has begun... So current numbers really don't matter to those buying air-time... JFYI

Fox was not ignorant of the growing problems and accusations. It did not happen over night,

but they did give a blind eye to some of it in part due to the amount of ad dollars Bill brought

in. Never ignore the fact it is always about the money, until that money starts to pull out, then

someone has to act astonished in order to hopefully keep those ad dollars coming in.

I think he will show up on another network within about 6 months time and his condescension

will be back, along with his screaming at some guests. I wonder if anyone ever told him "don't raise your

voice, improve your argument"?

Good point, Rod.....How about, "Killing the Chicks in the Fox House"?  (see what I did there?)  :eyebrows:

GO RV, then BV

I always wondered why it was only predominantly the blond bomb shells sprinkled with a few brunette babes that only graced the tv screen at Fox (as if a normal human being can't report the news)...but I am over 50 and white so they must think I'm one of those that enjoy the scenery!

Along the note of "News"... has anyone else noticed on every network that it's rarely just news...it seems to have just become more entertainment...like we can't handle the real world, only be treated like a movie goer with our popcorn and drink in hand?

True but I think its more along the lines that there are very few ethical journalists out there that want to do the hard work of mining the truth.  They want a sound bite or a tweet that will make them instant Woodwards and Bernsteins with a make-up lady.  Like chumps (or chimps) many Americans swallow the swill with a glazed look in their eyes.
