Its all good Jax! That engine you don't have to worry about a timing belt. Its chain driven, and those don't really have any history on that car for having problems so good to go there! Taking it to a shop so they can get it up in the air and check the suspension etc is always best! Let me know how it goes!

Great!  It went into the dealer this morning for the pre-sale checkup (Flemington, NJ)... I was gonna ask about the value of an aftermarket warranty... from BMW or other?  I'll let you know how it makes out!  Thanks again, Keep... I owe you a consulting fee and a drink or two!  :twothumbs:

Well depending on the shape of the car and how long they plan on keeping it, I've seen great results with people getting aftermarket warranties outside of BMW. You pay for what you get with the warranties of course, and they gotta pay attention to what it covers!

And yet this article is STILL here telling us the Dinar would be worth three frickin dollars.

As are countless(hundreds maybe thousands) of other articles stating varying degrees of opinions......from NADA to $13.00 RV.

Really?  Show me the article from Iraq like this one saying Nada.  I´ll wait.

Chill ur little panties....I guess I didn't state my thought so u would understand. My thought is there have been many differing articles over the years talking about a wide range of opinions on what Iraq plans to do with its currency. From LOP, RI, to RV depending on how one chooses to interpret said articles. If still confused I suggest you go back thru the archives here at DV or Google.- Peace

What makes you think I don't agree with you?

My recent thread is simply asking for opinions on what CBI "fiat" exchange rate WOULD be acceptable to the Central Banking community yet still work inside Iraq.

IMO, answers should prove interesting.

AH that ole "FIAT MONEY LINE".... A fiat rate (which is what the IQD has) IS ONLY good for the native currency.  Outside of Iraq the dinar is really worth zero, nada. The dealers are charging $1k+ for it only because Dinarians have to have it and will pay.   Sell it for 1k buy it back at 750 , then sell it again. That is almost prostitution. Just as a thought WHAT if the FBI/DOJ suddenly decided that the sale of dinar was illegal. The dealers would be out of business and dinar holders would be stuck trading between themselves at risk of a FBI sting ????????

Rock,                                                              I'm no expert but I have read what Adam has said about what will happen inside Iraq if it were to revalue to any significant amount. I have listened to what you say you think will happen. Adam has put alot of effort and time into this, he has contacts inside and out of Iraq and some education on economics. I'm curious to know exactly how much time and effort you have put into this. You seem so cocky that you have a handle on how world economics works. I'm not sure that even the CBI or any other central bank knows for sure what the outcomes of their decisions will be. Like I have said before I'm no expert but I can see where it is possible. I have to wonder why you spend so much time here? It really makes no sense. I'm truly amazed at how much time you spend on this sight trying to change a few speculators minds that venture into the lopster section.

Bingo!!!! LOPsters have NEVER ever given a sane reason as to why they venture here. I have given my opinions as to why, but not a one will EVER be honest as to why they come here even tho they are not now vested.

Hi Joe.  I don't really spend much time here. Between the stock market and 2 on-line courses I am on every day for about 3 hours and drop in to DV for a change of pace. I am 81 and completely retired. I have had several economics and finance courses in my lifetime so I have the experience in what is going on.

Banking on the national level is serious business so you can be sure they test the effect of their decisions very carefully. A 1 cent ( 10 times increase ) dinar would cause  fiscal mayhem in Iraq. They know that and it will never happen.

I keep dropping into DV out of curiosity. The RV is a mass delusion, well orchestrated I will add. I don't know how it has gone on so long but one day it will blow up. Greed has a way of defying logic.  Everyone knows the  GURUs are liars , but you keep going to the rumor mill for the titillating effect.

Iraq is broke .  Mortgaged to the hilt. A third will have to be rebuilt where will they get the funds?   They certainly aren't planning to make infidels RICH.

It does take some a little longer to graduate .  Messing around with supermodels can be a distraction.

I was hoping that during the lull of the Ramadan someone would crack a book on international finance .  Don't need to read the whole book , just the chapter on exchange rate criteria would be enough to have a good discussion here.

P.S.  Guessing .10 to the dinar to be the rate is not one of them..

I was shaking my head cuz, why do LOPsters go out of their way to try to disprove something they aren't a part of with such vigor? LOL only at DV - still SMH

I was wondering the same...maybe they are the type that hold up traffic at an accident just so they can tell their friends, Hey guys guess what I saw.

I too find it strange that someone cares what others do with their money. I buy lotto tickets and scratchers almost daily.Odds are extremely bad to the point of stupid.  But yet i buy them often. Am i stupid. Not really. Am i stupid to buy them when i can afford them???  Maybe but someone has to win  LOL.. Max i have ever won is $1,000.  Cost me a lot more than that but its still fun.

Who cares.?  Spend away.  What ever floats your boat.

Hi SD. Good to hear from you .. I agree that people should be able to do what they want to with their money as long as it is legal and doesnt do harm . I play the lotto and go to casinos  for entertainment with money I dont ever expect to need .  I sense that is not the case with most dinarians.

My main reason for hanging in here is primarily curiosity.  Why people can believe the liars(gurus) ?  Blinded by the dream of becoming rich overnight maybe.

I am still looking for the answer to 'where will the money come from?
