The Englishman
Abadi Under Pressure to Cut Ties with Erbil: MP Basnews English 29/03/2017 - 17:16 Iraq ERBIL — Pressure is mounting on the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to suspend the relations with Kurdistan Region and alienate Kurds, said a Kurdish lawmaker in the Iraqi parliament. Without specifying, MP Othman Tahir told BasNews that a political faction in Baghdad is behind the attempt as they wish for tensions between Erbil and Baghdad. “This political faction is also pressuring Abadi not to receive delegations from Kurdistan Region,” Tahir stated, noting that such attempts have an outside chance to succeed. According to the MP, Kurdistan Region delegation will soon visit Baghdad to resume talks with the top Iraqi official. Previously on various occasions, Kurdish and Iraqi officials underlined the military coordination between Erbil and Baghdad in the war on Islamic State (IS), but stating that not much progress has been made in other areas of bilateral cooperation. I really hope that someone takes this guy out. I can only hope that things can get back to some form of normality for these people after ISIS is wiped out.

jcfrag
I just find it so hard to believe that there isn't a price on his head, after all the crimes he has committed. It's just like the protests against corruption... yet no one does a thing while the little peacock strutts around showing off his true colors... jcfrag
It's no wonder the Kurds wish to seperate themselves from this crazy country that would still allow Maliki to wander around free after all of his crimes against Iraq!
