The head of the UN Security Council, Britain's permanent representative to the United Nations, Matthew Rycroft, in press statements made in this context that "Russia has asked for a meeting on the situation in Mosul, it has a right to do so and wait for this discussion." Revealed United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) last week, the presence of nearly 400 thousand civilian still trapped in the west of the city of Mosul. Bruno said Guido, UNHCR's representative in Iraq: "The worst is yet to come .. because the presence of 400 thousand people trapped in the old quarter of the panic and misery may inevitably lead to the outbreak of the situation somewhere in that time, we find ourselves facing a new influx (of displaced people) on a massive scale. " The remarks came against the backdrop of reports about the killing of more than four thousand civilians due to military operations to liberate Mosul. I think it is very possible Russia's concerns pertaining to situation in Mosul may have something to do with the western border near Syria where they are still in support of Basher Assad shite Government.
