Why, holding up on announcing it to the world???  If you have him perp walk him to the world. The Russians and Syrians both want to stop ISIS influence in both their own countries and around the world. Once he is secured, show him at an arraignment hearing or something.

This could be a ploy to draw him out of hiding with the remainder of his obsessed devotees in the mountains of raqqa, and then arrest him. If thats the case and we can verifiy that, I say we deploy another MOAB or 5 in said area and take him out. JMHO.

Mixed reports are coming in from across the internet stating that the European Government has intercepted intelligence about the capture of the ISIS leader.

 

According to multiple reports, the European Department for Security and Information (DESI) has intercepted intelligence leading them to believe that Russia has captured ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. ISIS leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi urged his followers to preserve their ideology and ideas, a document obtained by The Baghdad Post revealed on Tuesday.
 

In a letter that was dated back to April 25, 2017, Baghdadi ordered his followers to avoid injustice and to abide by justice and spread its norms among the people.

Baghdadi's letter was found earlier at the military hospital affiliated to ISIS terrorist group in Mushayrifa district in Mosul city.
 

ISIS' leader signed the letter and sealed it with the terrorist group's red seal.


 

Baghdadi emerged from the shadows on June 29, 2014, at Mosul’s Great Mosque where he called on Muslims to obey him as the head of the so called caliphate declared by ISIS terrorist group.
 

Iraqi Forces launched a major offensive on 19th of February to retake the western part of Mosul after declaring total control of the eastern part of the city on 24th of January as part of the military operations to liberate the city that started on 17th of October 2016.
 

Earlier, Iraqi army said ISIS leader Baghdadi fled Mosul to unidentified destination leaving his supporters to unknown fate after the recent success achieved by the Iraqi army against the terrorist group.
