The battle to liberate Iraq from Iran

Iran will not abandon the Iraqi invest easily

2017-03-16

Security and political steps successive in Iraq, confirms that there is a collective will to extracted from the grip of Iran, which has been successful within 14 years of control over many joints, enabled it to a pledge by a large part of the directions and decisions of Iraq with their wishes and interests.

During the past few days we have been active multiple tools, indoor and outdoor, in an attempt to suggest the order of things including re-consideration to the Iraqi state, and respect for all the political and religious spectrum, reducing the influence vast to organize Daesh in Mosul, and curtail Iran's domination, and not to harness the capabilities of the country to serve Tehran's regional purposes.

Military campaign to root out the organization Daesh and remnants of the Mosul area and elsewhere, it is not possible by the availability of regional and international supportive desire, because the elements of the crisis tangled and complex, and play where some of the parties roles varying and impressive, and without the cooperation and understanding enough would be difficult to clean up western Iraq from terrorists and drying Mnabahm.

The move came after a consensus between the active forces on the Syrian arena, facing tough challenges to root out extremists from the neighboring land, which they found the safe havens, with the consent and blessing of the rulers, or because of the advantage of the open borders are wide, which looks controllable process is very in difficulty.

And because Turkey is being forced to close many security holes, on the impact of a wide range of developments, and the Syrian regime is quick steps to tighten its grip on the land that was edited, it was necessary to close the Iraqi gate, which turned into a lung breathes them terrorists, and they have taken a kiss alleged succession .

Operation Clean Mosul and its environs from Daesh, important developments to curb Iran, which did well employ this organization, and played on the external contradictions, and was able to impose its hegemony on many of the keys and the contract is in Iraq, so the first step was to trim toenails Tehran disarm this paper between her hands, and that helped in the encroachment and spread on Iraq length and width, thus Valtkatv given to the disposal of Daesh process is separate from what is happening in Syria, and not far from the perceptions coming to the region, which combine many views on the importance of dressing poisonous fangs Iran them.

Caesarean section, which takes place in Iraq, and are offended by including Tehran, going on the pace consistent with what is happening in Syria and elsewhere, because the eyes have become pointed at all of Lebanon, hoping to end the myth of Hezbollah, and put an end to dilate Iran through Huthi window in Yemen.

However, the process of evacuating the tails of Iran from Iraq, may take a long time, but the initiation of the launch of this plan, it will be appropriate to the entrance, to complete the strangulation of the regional role of Iran rings, which is troublesome for many countries, is seeking to arrange cards on the hostility base for Iran.

Security part of this equation is clear, but not without a hidden paths, because Tehran has powerful enough to refuse to sit resigned to what is being plotted, and have the tools that enable them to confuse some of the procedures, and thus Vtktev security tasks currently has nothing to increase flying blows toward Tehran. hoping inconvenience moves that can be made in the future, and the participation of Iraqi elements in the process closely linked to attempts to paralyze the main keys owned by Iran, and benefit from the event, including restlessness, which has become a common denominator between the number of Iraqi forces.

In this context, one can understand the rotation Arabia, which reflected visit Adel al-Jubeir foreign minister to Baghdad, and receive an Iraqi delegation recently in Riyadh, which is one of the revealing signs of pulling the rug from under the feet of Iran, despite the difficulty facing this way, but the initiation was not to be without receiving positive signals reciprocal.

On the domestic scene, the current leadership appears ready to re-examine long Takndgaha inside Iran axis, and a willingness to open up to former foes, after finding Iraq gradually lose as a result of severe adhesion Tehran.

On the foreign arena, there have been many waters flowing into the stream to put an end to the Iranian dominance in Iraq first, which causes the expansion to the detriment of the interests of some international powers, notably the United States, which is giving rise to significant carrot and stick policy, so you can Tehran enter the political barn that you want and guarantees not to go out away from the home of the US obedience.

Interestingly, Riyadh began moving quickly to modify the rudder in Iraq, and adjust some things, to serve the strategic interests, and opened channels were closed for a long time, and that Turkey has taken upon itself the task of Sunni forces grouped, and held a number of symbols of a rare meeting last week, leaving Chi Impressions that there is a new phase in Iraq began, to correct a series of errors, led to a result is no longer satisfactory to many. As a result put Iraq in Iran basket.

Change the features that stood by Iraq form recently, it will not be overnight, and requires several efforts, because the difficult surgery that take place now, is likely to lead to side effects, represent a higher risk than the original disease, which requires walking over the parallel lines, taking into account the nature of the the environment and the elements influencing, and take into account the fact that the Iranian eradicate the tumor needs to court plan, Iraq away from civil strife.

Striking that the Egyptian move towards Iraq is focused on the economic side, we have not seen a move counter to the political side, while there are regional countries frantic steps to have a foothold seen on the Iraqi arena, not afraid conventional sensibilities, is locked in a battle to break the current bone unequivocally, perhaps the ongoing battle to be one of the introductions function on the balance of power in the next stage, and if Egypt was determined to have a regional influential place it has to be close to the new battle for the liberation of Iraq.

Mullah regime facing genuine threats as Iranians 'brimming over with anger'

March 16 2017 10:34 PM
Mullah fall is looming
Mullah fall is looming

As Iranians gathered to celebrate the New Persian Year on March 14, their cheerful crowds turned out to chant anti-regime slogans, even demanding Khamenei to be toppled.

Pictures of the regime's top officials, including Khamenei and Rouhani were burnt on streets. Yet, political prisoners had their say on that night, demanding freedom for the whole Iranians from behind bars.

clashes between protesters and police forces have been a commonplace over the past days. This public anger is mounting because of the policies of Mullah regime in the region.

Defiance despite threats

At the gatherings held at several squares in Tehran such as Madar Square, Imam Hussein and other spots, where youth set off fireworks and petards celebrating the new year, pictures of the 'supreme leaders' of Iran, the former Khomeni and the incumbent Khamenei, were burned.

In Nizam Abad neighborhood, youths jumped over piles of fire, chanting:"Fireworks say Mullahs should be killed."

In Mashhad, movements of the Iranian youth were even bolder. They threw Molotov cocktails at a Basij military base in Belwar.

Others set fire to several parts of Shahrekord , capital city of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. They also clashed with police forces. The protesters there stood on streets in defiance, throwing Molotov  cocktails at the Mullahs' police.

In Isfahan, loud bangs were within hearing distance. There, police vehicles did not patrol streets in fear of the youth's anger.

Iranian media campaigned against those celebrations, with the regime's clerics issuing desperate fatwas prohibiting such festivities.

Also, police chief Hussein Ashtari said that 'law breakers' will find tough response from the police.

Those who will infringe on public order will be severely punished, Icana news agency quoted Hussein Sajidi, Tehran police chief, as saying.

Protesters mock regime's lies

Iranian youth have scoffed at the pretenses of the Iranian fearmongers to block the celebrations.

The authorities tried to spread rumors about tragic incidents to spoil the day. But, the joyful crowds on the streets spilled their gatherings over into other cities, districts, squares, streets and alleyways.

Experts, building on the foregoing, say that the end of Mullah regime is looming.

Anger is everywhere, they add.

The Iranian people are brimming over with anger. Their living conditions are deteriorating, the experts insist.

They also argue that the world's outlook on the Iranians has become negative due to the sectarian practices of Mullahs.

The world peoples are considering them racists, they indicate.

Death to dictators

Political prisoners, on that day, chanted in zest, from their cells, demanding death to the dictator and his mob.

'Death to Wilayat Al-Faqih', they also chanted, slamming 'Guardianship of Jurist', which is a theological theory promoted by the Shiites for governance.

This tenet, according to Shiite thought, relies upon a just and capable jurist (faqih) to assume the leadership of the government in the absence of an 'infallible Imam'.

The regime oppresses all

Days before the New Year's commotion, thousands of retired employees marched nationwide, demanding end of chronic injustice.

We are fed up with grievances, they chanted.

O teachers and nurses…stick to unity, the agonized protesters shouted.

We are tormented by poverty and discrimination…blocking embezzlement will solve our problems, other demonstrators wrote on placards.

Experts say the Iranian regime must bring the chronic corruption to a halt, asserting dozens of billions of dollars are siphoned off yearly.

Repression must end, and its apparatuses must be dismantled, they demanded.

'The Iranian funds should be channeled for the benifit of the Iranian people, instead of backing terror groups across the region, they concluded.

Iraq will not sever ties with Iran despite pressure from Arab nations

By Rudaw 12 hours ago

Iraq
Iraq's Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari speaking to Rudaw in Amman, Jordan.

AMMAN, Jordan – Iraq will not sever ties with neighboring Iran under pressure from other Arab countries, the Iraqi Foreign Minister confirmed to Rudaw on the sidelines of the Amman Summit as a draft resolution is being considered by the Arab League members calling on Tehran to cease meddling in affairs of the region.

“Iraq is not ready to step towards agitating the region and will not sever ties with any neighboring country,” Ibrahim al-Jaafari told Rudaw, referring to its Shiite neighbor Iran, a strong ally of Baghdad.

Baghdad is not willing to cut ties with any neighboring country, even Turkey, Jaafari said, despite growing differences between the two over the presence of Turkish troops in northern Iraq.

“Do you know that when I am speaking right here Turkish troops are in Iraq, but we have not ended relations with Turkey,” he said.

He stressed that Iraq is doing its best to have friendly relations with its neighbors.

“We do our outmost to lead our relations to go on the right way,” he said, confidently.

Jaafari’s Palestinian counterpart does not echo the sentiment that Arab countries should be lenient in their protest to Iran’s presence in some Arab capitals.

Commenting on a 15-point draft resolution against Iran, Riyad al-Maliki, said it was a unanimous stance of Arab countries against Iran.

“This is the stance of Arab countries because Iran has been meddling in the Arab countries’ affairs and it is present in some Arab capitals,” he said.

He added if Iran continues its presence in Arab capitals, it would undermine any effort to bring peace to the Middle East.

“Having Iranian armed groups will lead to triggering outright and frank words from Arabs against Iran,” Maliki warned.

Addressing the US House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday, CENTCOM commander Gen. Joseph Votel, said “Iran wants to be the predominate power in the region.”

In his opinion, Votel said, “Iran poses the greatest long term threat to stability in this part of the world.”

Arab leaders at the 28th Arab Summit in Amman are urging action to condemn Iranian “meddling” in regional affairs in order to promote stability in the Middle East, according to a draft resolution seen and translated by Rudaw.

Lebanon, Tunisia, and Iraq have, however, expressed reservations about the resolution.

While Arab leaders are meeting in Amman, Iranian leader Hasan Rouhani wrapped up a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and shared regional interests, including Iraq and Syria.

Also on Wednesday, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri met with the speaker of the Algerian parliament, Mohamed al-Arabi Ould Khalifa, in Algiers to discuss bilateral relations, regional issues, and confronting extremism and terrorism, IRNA reported.

Khalifa reportedly called for developing parliamentary relations between their two nations. Algeria is a member of the Arab League.

Amiri will also travel to Tunisia, another Arab League member

US should use ‘military means’ against Iran: CENTCOM chief

US Central Command Commander Army General Joseph Votel testifies before the Senate Armed Services Committee in Washington, DC, March 9, 2017

The United States should consider using “military means” against Iran, US Army General Joseph Votel says, calling Tehran “the greatest long-term threat to stability” in the Middle East.

Votel, who heads the US Central Command (CENTCOM), made the hostile remarks while speaking before the House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday.

“I believe that Iran is operating in what I call a gray zone, and it's an area between normal competition between states — and it's just short of open conflict,” he told the panel.

Votel went on to accuse Iran of “destabilizing” the region through “lethal aid facilitation,” using “surrogate forces” and cyber operations.

“We need to look at opportunities where we can disrupt [Iran] through military means or other means their activities,” he said. “We need to look at opportunities where we can expose and hold them accountable for the things that they are doing.”

The general’s statements fall in line with the anti-Iran rhetoric of US President Donald Trump, who has accused Iran of supporting terrorism and said "nothing is off the table" in terms of a response to the country’s defensive missile program. Trump has also said that his administration formally put Tehran "on notice" over its missile test.

As the commander of CENTCOM, Votel is tasked with leading Washington’s military efforts in Central Asia and the Middle East. More than 80,000 US soldiers are stationed across the area under Votel’s command.

The general also oversees the US-led coalition’s airstrikes and other military operations against purported terrorist targets inside Syria and Iraq, a campaign that began in 2014 and has led to the death of many civilians without any meaningful achievement.

Votel’s comments came less than two weeks after a deadly coalition strike that killed over 200 civilians in the Iraqi city of Mosul.

The Pentagon has admitted to carrying out such “unintentional” raids against civilian targets in Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen as well.

Additionally, Washington has come under pressure for forging a close military and political alliance with Saudi Arabia, ignoring the regime’s bloody war on Yemen and its clear support for extremist groups.

This is while the international community has constantly hailed Iran’s active role in curbing the terrorism threat plaguing the region.

Persian Gulf encounters

In his testimony before the lawmakers, Votel also discussed the recent surge in Iran-US military encounters in the Persian Gulf, saying his team was “paying extraordinarily close attention” to the issue.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Navy has on several occasions forced US Navy vessels to change course before wandering into Iranian territorial waters.

The last of such encounters occurred earlier this month, when a US Navy ship and three British Royal Navy boats steered out of the course approved for international naval transit in the Persian Gulf and came within 550 meters (0.3 nautical miles) of IRGC vessels, drawing serious warnings from them.

Iran has repeatedly warned that any act of transgression into Iran’s territorial waters would be met with an immediate and befitting response.
