They also want to persuade Iraq that they don't need Iran and that the Saudis are Iraqs true allies against the Persians.

Saudi foreign minister Adel Al-Jubeir on Friday asserted that the kingdom is committed to writing off debts owed by Iraq.

The remarks came in a meeting with Iraqi foreign minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari on the sidelines of the convention of the countries fighting ISIS in Washington, according to a statement posted on the Iraqi Foreign Ministry's official website.

The Saudi minister did not mention tallies specifying those debts. But he said the kingdom intends to launch a flight line between Riyadh and Baghdad.

On his part, Iraqi foreign minister said his country is still in need of more financial and humanitarian aid.

He also noted that relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq witnessed noticeable improvement over the past weeks, especially after Al-Jubeir's visit to Baghdad.

During the visit of the Iraqi delegation to Saudi Arabia, both sides discussed the possibility of opening the flight line, he added, asserting the plan will materialize in the foreseeable future.

Amer saw the possibility of converting some other external debt to a long or medium - term investments in coordination and agreement with creditor countries to do so.
According to the Saudi debt owed by Iraq, the sources of about $ 15 billion.
The classified Iraq 's foreign debt on four categories : all of the debt of countries of the Paris Club debt of countries that are not members of the Paris Club, debt trade creditors (private sector foreign) debt of the Gulf Cooperation Council ( GCC ) in addition to contracts for consultants (legal and accounting).

ARAB WORLD
25/03/2017 16:37

The Iraqi government announced the intention of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to cancel their debts, and the conduct of airline directly to Baghdad, in an effort to strengthen relations between the two countries.

This comes at a time when relations between the two countries is witnessing an unprecedented openness, accounting for exchange visits punctuated by an optimistic future close relations statements.

For that head of the political decision of the Iraqi Center Hadi JLo Mari says the agency "Sputnik", "what makes the step kingdom seriousness toward Iraq and of cancellation of debt owed by Baghdad to the Queen is a link this step efforts by Saudi Arabia to change its policy in the region, where he began to feel some embarrassment as a result of overlapping files have in Syria, Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon, as well as the depletion of their resources in the war in Yemen, as well as the need to keep pace with the American player as part of the US strategy in Iraq changed by President Trump, who Saudi Polly met Prince and he had contact with King Salman, also Mhao Latt Saudi Arabia are close US attempts to change the situation in this country and push for reducing the influence of Iran, especially since the United States is that Iran is very influential in Iraq, and spearheaded the project to change the situation in Iraq are Saudi Arabia and not another country, the fact that Saudi Arabia the only country qualified to cope with Iran in Iraq, so the Riyadh understood the vision of America. "

He Marei "Had this American project subtracted from another country other than the United States for Tqublth Arabia. I believe that the seriousness of the Kingdom pegged to the US position hard towards Iraq, as well as a sense of Riyadh that the previous policy pursued with Baghdad were not successful and did not achieve the goal, and it was a failure Overall, therefore you must change the way they ran out of Riyadh things. among these measures was the Saudi foreign minister's visit to Baghdad as well as the appointment of an ambassador and open corridors border land, air and strengthen economic and trade relations, and the determination of the Kingdom to cancel the debt owed by Iraq, this procedure T. linked to a new variable rate I think it would be with the greatest influence in the next phase. "

For his part, journalist and political writer Ghyath Abdul Hamid told "Sputnik" "I think that Saudi Arabia steps toward Iraq came within the framework of the US decision to return Iraq to the Arab fold the main purpose is to resize Iran, it is known that Iran has large interests in Iraq, on the basis of this understanding United States of Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries ordered to cooperate with Iraq and reduce the hostility of Iraq and Iraq's embrace of a new language, and the Arab states at the Arab summit meeting to be held in Jordan intend to condemn Iran as it leads the terrorism in Iraq and the region. "

He said Abdul Hamid, "with regard to the reconstruction of Iraq corresponds there are serious representations to the US side has done so since its invasion of Iraq in 2003, and when the United States was organized Daesh in Iraq, which today supports dividing Iraq through support for the federations. The Iraqis have lost faith in America and Saudi Arabia and Britain."

Good morning Yota and thank you for your amazing stamina here in DV :bravo:

Saudi Arabia and Iraq will make a very strong alliance and will stomp Iran back to the Stone Age along with the help as well from the US.

Another indication DV that Iraq is on the right track, meaning, I'm sure the Saudi,s would not partner and forgive a billion dollar debt just because. They see a very good risk reward ratio. :eyebrows:

This is getting good and reading between the lines is getting easier and easier.....................  More  :goodnews:
