tigergorzow
Abadi accuses lawmakers of embezzlement March 14 2017 10:41 PM Abadi vows against corrupt MPs Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi on Tuesday accused several lawmakers of embezzling about 50 billion dinars of the allocations of the poor brackets in the budget. This is the main reason behind the government's appeal against some provisions cited in the budget bill, he asserted. The Ministry of Finance, on behalf of the government, has filed an appeal against some provisions in the proposed bill, and we assigned a legal team to look into the amended parts, Abadi said in his weekly press conference. Some lawmakers have transferred these allocations, meant to be disbursed for the poor, to their colleagues, who did know nothing about the move, the premiere revealed. Those people want us to turn a blind eye to what they did. But I will not stand by while such embezzlement is taking place, Abadi explained. He labeled those lawmakers as corrupt, for they hid these allocations to disburse them for the contract employees that they will appoint. The government is well aware of those lawmakers, but we are busy fighting ISIS and don’t want to open new front. He said earlier today the government wants to achieve the principle of equal opportunities for all Iraqis, stressing the government's commitment to accommodating the contract employees and the daily-paid workers in the government departments. http://www.thebaghdadpost.com/en/story/8140/Abadi-accuses-lawmakers-of-embezzlement

They will either be killed or disgraced to the point of no return to public life ever again.

Synopsis
The article states, "Those people want us to turn a blind eye to what they did. He labeled those lawmakers as corrupt, for they hid these allocations to disburse them for the contract employees that they will appoint. The government is well aware of those lawmakers, but we are busy fighting ISIS and don’t want to open new front." Hmmm...... Abadi is making these statements around the time Mosul is nearing the end of ISIS occupation. Why would Abadi make these statements knowing the people affected are now hacked off at Abadi even more? Isn't Abadi going to appear before the Iraqi Parliament soon to answer questions about civilians killed in Mosul due to coalition bombing? To me, Abadi is either a complete idiot and going off to destruction via the hands of members of the GOI or Abadi is brilliant and will have these GOI miscreants effectively neutralized and likely prosecuted for their culpable crimes with the support of international agencies. The retaking of Mosul from ISIS and the quick eradication of remaining ISIS areas in Iraq should produce some very welcome news in the Iraqi news media. Yep. Looking Good! Go Moola Nova!
