Trump promised Abadi reconsider the travel ban on Iraqis

Echoes travel ban decision, which was issued by President Donald Trump with other statements and positions him, threaten to undermine future security cooperation Araca- across the US alliance , which enables slowly over the last two years of general organization Daesh stand up and defeat him.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi has sought to contain any popular reaction angry raised by Trump decision of the Executive toprevent the Iraqis from traveling to the United States, as well as Trump 's repeated generated statements of resentment and suspicion that he was supposed to Americans that Isthozu Iraq 's oil, and his tough stance also from Iran , a close ally Iraqi government.
On the other hand occur Abadi, on Thursday evening, by telephone with Trump, the first since the inauguration of Trump as president. Where he promised the American leader, who has pledged more solid war against al Daesh, that provides more assistance to Iraq in its war against terrorism. Abadi asked him, according to information provided by an Iraqi official who declined to be named, said the raise Iraq from the travel ban list.
Iraqi anger toward Washington came at a critical juncture amid a long relationship marred by tensions sometimes with willing US - backed Iraqi forces to launch an attack aimed to retrieve the western half of the city of Mosul , which is still under the control of Daesh.
However , Iraqi officials will require to prevent the emergence of new armed with contain the political divisions between Iraq 's Shiites and Cardh his year and has stated that the American and maintain security in Iraq after the Daesh will be more difficult.
The two officials also spoke on the subject of keeping part of the American forces for a longer period in order to support the Iraqi security forces in achieving that mission, a recognition that the full US withdrawal at the end of 2011 was wrong.
Iraqi leader now under great pressure, Members of Parliament asking him to cut cooperation with Washington in the future and minimize or prevent any presence of US forces for the period after Daesh and reciprocity for any travel ban on Iraqis. As some of the parties to the popular crowd has bluntly warned the answer toretaliate against the Americans if the United States carried out any military action against Iran loyalists.
Logistical Saad, a politician permanent ally of former Prime Minister Nuri al - Maliki, speaking for (Assocheatdberas) that "Trump embarrassed Abadi. There will be a general consensus that they should not keep Americans in Iraq after the liberation of Mosul. After statements made by Trump and the decision of the travel ban we thought that our strategic agreement with the uS. "
He logistical saying : "We are fighting Daesh on behalf of all the world, this has been a tough decision sparked resentment of all Iraqis."
But Hafez al - Abadi on the other hand , the tone of media weighted toward it. While the decision to ban Trump described the travel as " an insult to the Iraqis," he refused to take legal action to reciprocate , despite an invitation to do so strong parliament.
Meanwhile , a US official said, without disclosing his name, said the US government was continuing on a regular basis with the Government of Abadi to prevent an escalation of the situation and sent a message that the United States is aware of the potential consequences if the Iraqis became against it .
The official said the call last Thursday was considered a positive step towards defusing tensions with quell reassure Trump for Ebadi said he would see what he could do to alleviate this decision on the Iraqis , who must not be prevented from entering the United States. Since Trump announced it, many members of the American government deliberately to encourage the White House to raise Iraq 's name from the list. Although there is no evidence that Trump is planning to remove the name of Iraq once it had taken steps to exclude the largest number of Iraqis from this decision.
And within the ranks of the Iraqi army expressed Department officers expressed outrage Trump's decision toban the book which Sawahm terrorists in them ever more than two years while fighting organization Daesh.
Maj . Hussein al - Kaabi, the Iraqi special forces stationed in Mosul, described Trump told about the need for the acquisition of Iraqi oil as well as the decision of the travel ban on Iraqis as "something incredible". He went on by saying , "I have fought Daesh In Fallujah in Anbar and Salahuddin currently fight them in Mosul have sacrificed a lot of blood in the fight against Daesh."
A lot of the sons of the Iraqi people as well as the military and the political class recognize the need to need to continue to support the survival of American military and political or even welcomed. But he mixed with anger at the large loss of life suffered by Iraqis at the hands of US forces during the invasion of Iraq and caused the emergence of al - Qaeda and then organize Daesh in the country.
Throughout his control of the pyramid of power Abadi struggled to maintain a balanced line in orientation between the two foes of the United States and Iran.
And the presence of a section of the US forces in Iraq for the period after Daesh likely to herald a bigger role for armed groups linked to Iran. It is similar to a scenario of what happened in the days that followed the fall of Mosul in 2014, after being swept Daesh nearly one - third of the area of Iraq in a matter of days, where he rushed Iran to help Iraq with weapons, while the United States stayed waiting for weeks for the start of a campaign of the Alliance leadership to launch air strikes against Organization.
Jaafar al - Husseini, a spokesman for Hezbollah Brigades, warned that his fighters are ready to target US interests if you go away Trump administration in its anti
 -Iranian.
He said al - Husseini , "if the United States to take military action against Iran will respond similarly, we have all the details about the movements of US forces. Understanding under our control immediately."

Iraq Excluded from Trump's New Travel Ban List

ERBIL — The US President Donald Trump's new immigration order will remove Iraq from the list of countries whose citizens are temporarily banned from traveling to the United States.

According to a number of US officials, the Trump administration's decision followed pressure from the Pentagon and State Department that had urged the White House to reconsider the travel ban on Iraqi citizens given the country's key role in fighting the Islamic State organization.

The Trump's new order will replace an earlier order which was blocked by the federal courts.

However the six remaining countries of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen will remain on the travel ban list.

I think Iraq should go back on the list until this whole ordeal is resolved and done with once and for good.

Like having 6 Boy Scouts in your troop and only one can go on a field trip so the other 5 team up (with the parents) against the scout leader and the one picked to go. They should all be on the list or none.

President Donald Trump pens new travel ban, exempts Iraq

Trump signs new travel ban, dropping Iraq

President Donald Trump signed a new executive order Monday banning immigration from six Muslim-majority countries, notably dropping Iraq from the previous order issued in January, the CNN reports.
.

The new travel ban comes six weeks after Trump's original executive order was blocked by a federal court.

The ban covers Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

Iraq will "increase cooperation with the US government on the vetting of its citizens applying for a visa to travel to the United States," according to an administration fact sheet.

The order makes clear that lawful permanent residents (otherwise known as green card holders) are excluded from any travel ban, White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said on "Fox and Friends" Monday. Also those with validly issued visas will also be exempt from the ban.

"If you have travel docs, if you actually have a visa, if you are a legal permanent resident, you are not covered under this particular executive action," Conway said. "Also, Iraq is no longer on the list based on their enhanced screening and reporting measures."

The original order barred citizens from seven countries from entering the US for 90 days, all refugees for 120 days and indefinitely halted refugees from Syria.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and national security adviser Gen. H.R. McMaster had all advocated for Iraq to be removed from the Trump administration's list of banned countries in the new executive order for diplomatic reasons, including Iraq's role in fighting ISIS, sources told CNN's Elise Labott and Evan Perez. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly also supported the move.

I would not be surprised if Trump used the exemption of the travel  Ban for Iraqis as leverage for RV or the frozen funds issue or even the HCL..  He is an astute Business man enough to have some leverage with this travel ban.  He is not trying to be politically correct;  so there is probably something up his sleeve
"Wouldn't  it be lovely". Or; would that back fire on him? Hmm
