The Englishman
MP: $1.266 BILLION IN REVENUE FROM THREE MONTHS MISSING IN KURDISTAN REGION 12 mins ago Views 61 SULAIMANI — A Kurdish lawmaker said on Thursday (March 2) the amount of $1.266 billion from oil exports and the Kurdistan Region’s revenue has gone missing over the last three months Lawmaker Ali Hama Salih said the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) exported 17,651,000 barrels of oil in December 2016 in accordance with data from the Iraqi State Organization for Marketing Oil (SOMO). The lawmaker added the KRG exported 17,651,000 barrels of oil in January 2017 and 15,593,000 barrels in February 2017, according to data from SOMO. “The average amount of Brent crude oil was $55 and the Kurdistan Region had sold it at nine dollars less,” Salih noted. “Total revenue of oil [exports through] pipeline for three months was $2.343 billion. The income of the oil production, which is $65 thousands, was $273 million for three months.” The other internal revenue was $150 million and it is $450 million for three months, he said. According to the lawmaker, the total amount of revenue in the last three months was $3,066,562,000 USD. “The total amount of expenditure, including employees’ salaries, amounted to $450 million [per month] and the KRG’s costs amount to $150 million [a month], $1.8 billion in three months,” he said. “According to this audit, the amount of money which disappeared in three months amounts to $1.266 billion USD,” the Kurdish lawmaker added. This is not the first time the Kurdish lawmakers have said that millions of dollars have gone missing in the Kurdistan Region. Members of Kurdistan’s Parliament accuse the minister of natural resources of responsibility for the loss. Salih spoke with NRT on September 4, 2015, and said lawmakers have evidence Ashti Hawrami has cost the region “hundreds of millions of dollars”. In a statement provided to NRT, the MNR said it “totally rejects” Salih’s accusations and “challenges him to quickly produce his so-called evidence,” adding it would launch legal proceedings against him if he failed to do so. 3

Englishman, Thanks, DV, Where the heck is the oversight auditing agencies KRG hired to follow the money from Oil Revenues. They know who they are so please provide names and arrests warrants to bring them to justice. M. Barzani needs to get this corruption crap under wraps immediately or countries should deny any / all monetary assistance going forward. NO MORE LOANS until they are able to audit every dollar or dinar spent to whomever or wherever it may have been distributed. Names Names Names need to be publicized now in the NEWS MEDIA for all to see who are the perpetrators that stole this money.....Billions & Millions Edited March 2, 2017 by tigergorzow
