Pipeline Protesters Demonstrate "Earth Love"

Actions speak much louder than words.

And if the actions of all those tree hugging activists mean anything, what they said when they left ends the "discussion"....  DM

Littering slob protesters generate 2,500 dump trucks full of trash, human waste, at Dakota pipeline

How many times have we seen this play out?  Whether it’s the Earth Day mob leaving mountains of trash on the national Mall, Leo’s private jets and mega-yachts, or Al Gore’s enormous carbon footprint, it’s always the same.  The people who scream the loudest about the environment always seem to be the worst offenders when it comes to the planet’s alleged destruction.

Case in point, the Dakota Access Pipeline protest camp in North Dakota. A small army of hippies had nothing better to do, so they descended on the site, screamed about the evils of oil, then left.  Now there are only a couple hundred protesters left.  ...Oh, and mountains of garbage, building materials, and human waste.

All of this, it seems, will end up in the Cannonball River if it’s not cleaned up.

From ABC News:

Federal and state officials announced plans Wednesday to accelerate cleanup at a camp in southern North Dakota that has housed hundreds and sometimes thousands of Dakota Access pipeline opponents.

Officials fear the camp near the Cannonball River will soon flood due to warm weather and rapid snowmelt. They worry trash and debris left behind by people who have left in recent weeks might pollute the Missouri River and other nearby waterways.

“With the amount of people that have been out there and the amount of estimated waste and trash out there, there is a good chance it will end up in the river if it is not cleaned up,” Corps spokesman Capt. Ryan Hignight said.

Local and federal officials estimate there’s enough trash and debris in the camp to fill about 2,500 pickup trucks. Garbage ranges from trash to building debris to human waste, according to Morton County Emergency Manager Tom Doering.

Ah, environmentalism. Earth Mother Gaia must be so pleased

Ah, environmentalism. Earth Mother Gaia must be so pleased.

Gov. Doug Burgum, State Engineer Garland Eberle and state Environmental Health Chief Dave Glatt on Tuesday issued a statement pushing for an accelerated cleanup.

“We’re really fighting the clock,” Doering said Wednesday. “There’s more garbage down there than anybody anticipated.”

Corps officials and a contractor will travel to the site later this week to assess the situation, though actual cleanup work won’t happen until the area is deemed safe for workers, Hignight said.

Why is it “unsafe?” Well, that’s because - as has become the norm - the press has taken to using the words “protest” and “violent mob” interchangeably. Officials are apparently worried about clashes with the remaining holdouts should they move to clear the debris.

So, to sum up, there’s a mountain of trash and feces that so-called environmentalists have left to flood a local river, and the violent crackpots who generated the waste are the reason no one can begin the cleanup.

Congratulations, progressives.  It’s another great moment in liberal history.  ...And by the way, it was all for nothing.  Like it or not, DAPL is going to happen.
