Says a whole lot of nothing like the many other articles claiming his convoy was hit and he was injured/killed. The only time I think I will believe it is when his head is on a pike pole being paraded though the streets !

Head of ISIS terrroist group, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, was injured in an air raid that targeted ISIS headquarters in Al-Qa'im town of Al Anbar governorate, security expert Fadel Abu Righeef said on Sunday.
 

In a post on Facebook, Abu Righeef added that he received intelligence information asserting that Baghdadi was injured in an air raid that targeted a meeting for ISIS leaders in western Anbar governorate.

Abu Righeef also said that a number of ISIS senior leaders and other ISIS terrorists were killed in the air raid.

The battle for Mosul is the biggest ground operation in Iraq since the 2003 US-led invasion. A victory by the 100,000-strong US-backed pro-government force would probably spell the end for ISIS self-styled caliphate that has ruled over millions of people in Iraq and Syria since 2014.

He said Iraqi security expert Fadel Abu loaf, on Sunday, said that the organization "Daesh" leader Abu Bakr al - Baghdadi, was wounded in the air strikes area of Qaim , near the Syrian border.  He revealed Abu loaf of their own social networking site "Facebook" his, that intelligence confirms al -Baghdadi received the injury during the three air strikes targeted a meeting of the organization in the"Akashat" areas and "Slip" and "al - Obeidi."  Iraqi media also reported , citing Iraqi security sources said that al - Baghdadi was injured along with dozens of leaders of the organization aerial bombardment on the town of Qaim near the Syrian border.

I'll be darned I found something.  on Basnews.com Although not confirmed the iraqi air force

bombed Qa'im city possibly wounding Bagadadi on Feb 9th. According to Sputnick he

was moved to Syria.

Smart bombs and hellfire missiles and 500 pound bunker busters don't tend to leave much room for error.

Just a guess but.....if he is ever killed, ISIS will keep it quiet. What a demoralizing blow to those left in Iraq, Syria and still fighting. We can only hope his injury is true. I'm sure he never 100% recovered from his previous brush with death. The walking wounded. Hopefully now deceased.

However, whether al-Baghdadi was killed remains uncertain as of now.

Al-Baghdadi's moment had been tracked by the Iraqi intelligence. On Saturday, a convoy of three-vehicles containing al-Baghdadi arrived in a village where the meeting was held. The aim of the meeting was reportedly to discuss the defeat of the IS group in eastern Mosul and to determine who will be al-Baghdadi's successor should he die during the Mosul operation.

Three additional IS sites in Qaim and the nearby Akashat area were also struck, causing the deaths of 40 IS militants and 24 IS suicide bombers.

Abu Bakir al-Baghdadi became the leader of the IS on May 16, 2010, after his predecessor Abu Omar al-Baghdadi's death.

The operation to liberate Mosul from the IS began on October 17, 2016. Eastern half of the city was liberated at the end of January. The Iraqi ground troops are currently awaiting orders to move forward to the western areas.
