Something that just dawned on me. Trump has stated the US should take over the Iraqi oil as reparations for the US military effort. These articles are, "hurry up and get the HCL passed" as well as "let's hurry up and get the crooks' money back".

Maybe this is a scare tactic implemented by Trump et al to get the Bicraqi Iraqi after their needed process to implement the HCL (oil to the people) and return the looted funds to bolster the CBI reserves for the IQD revalue. Maybe the Bicraqi Iraqi are scared and are quickly going to lock down the HCL and looted funds in their sole control to keep it out of the hands of Trump et al.

Genius, I say, Genius, if this is really the case to get the Bicraqi Iraqi off their keesters to get the show on the road!

Thanks for your take Synopsis ! Definitely a President Trump signature in the making. President Trump is a tactition as well as a great business man , he definitely knows the art of a great deal. I can totally see this happening, just like the wall that Mexico said they wouldn't pay for. LOL

Syn, Agree wholeheartedly my friend.  All of them know President DJT will say it followed by action so they are scrambling to ensure the "Oil & Gas Law" is Priority One.  If there are no laws that govern "Oil & Gas"  and other natural resources then guess what the corrupt & greedy will continue to steal all of Iraq's wealth. Not going to happen anymore especially since the New Sheriff came to town.   All hail to the "New Commander In Chief" President DJT.

I agree, TigerGorZow! The pace seems to have quickened as of late and, with the retaking of the West side of Mosul much quicker than the East side announced by a US ground commander in another article, the necessary event may just fall into place compliments the "New Commander In Chief" President DJT!

Both the ISIS fighters and ISIS resources aught to have been depleted - not to mention their internal morale and infighting - with greatly diminished means of resupply on Mosul's West Side. So, ISIS may not be able to offer much of a fight and could be exterminated more quickly especially with the ground experience the Iraqi forces now have in the East Side and compliant Iraqi citizens in currently held West Mosul ISIS areas.

MP for the coalition of Kurdish blocs Hoshyar Abdullah, said that most of the Kurds of Representatives support the enactment of the oil and gas law. According to Abdullah, in a statement quoted by the agency {Euphrates News} "The oil file in Iraq including the Kurdistan region Pat involves a high risk of misuse and its monopoly by the views of certain parties, so the lack of enactment of the oil and gas law in accordance with the directions and frameworks and national real guarantee that these natural wealth in the service of citizens will lead to a bad future and make this wealth a curse for the people. " He added that "the monopoly of the oil file by certain political parties and families requires us to move forward towards the enactment of this Act in the interest of the people, rather than leaving the oil wealth is used to strengthen the influence of monopolizing power and positions," he says. Abdullah said, "If the Kurdish blocs in the previous parliamentary sessions a reason to block the enactment of this law, most of the Kurds of Representatives today claim and strongly to the legislation," noting that "the outstanding problems between the federal and provincial government about the oil file and that because of the region employees of their salaries campus and the continued monopoly oil file without a trace of imports requires us to enactment of this Act. " Abdullah touched on the need to retrieve the smuggled money after 2003, saying, "We ask everyone to not obstruct the enactment of this important law, because any obstruction will be interpreted as an attempt to protect the corrupt who stole the people's money and Herboha abroad." He pointed out that "the enactment of this law will contribute to the recovery of the billions of dollars stolen by the mafia corruption and smuggled abroad since 2003 until today," calling "the board chairman of the parliament and parliamentary committees concerned and all the heads of parliamentary blocs to expedite the oil and gas legal legislation and the pursuit of money contraband after 2003 ". The Commission on oil and energy parliamentary, said on the fifth of September last in 2016, it was waiting for approval of oil and gas law, from the government for the purpose of the legislation in the House. Committee Chairman Erez Abdullah, for {Euphrates News}, the latest version of the draft law "drawn by the government to redraft and consider them, but until now did not get us a new project or the old," noting that "we are waiting for a new project or remodeling project {old } to parliament in order to proceed. " For its part it revealed the economic and investment commission in parliament on December 12 last, for a preliminary approvals for the enactment of the oil and gas law during the legislative {current} of the Council of Alnwab.bhsp reported by committee member Burhan Mamouri's News} {Euphrates. Stated that there are several laws may disrupt approval in parliament since the previous sessions, the most important legal, oil and gas and other Federal Court, after differences that revolve around between the political blocs.
