Richardk
First Haynon, someone gave you a neg for what reason I have no clue.. I don't understand why anyone would neg someone for writing a opinion.. so I made you even. So here's my opinion on the article, all of Iraq needs to get a currency value to be able to pay with instead of US dollars. I wait for the articles to use Dinar as the currency of payment. Oh, I will be doing this while having having one of those drinks with a umbrella in it.. Be happy, it's the season for forgiving, family, love and giving.. Happy Holidays to all and Merry Christmas GO RI/RI
Wiljor
IOCS RECEIVE OVER $51 MILLION FROM KRG FOR SEPTEMBER OIL EXPORTS Iraq, December 6, 2016 International Oil Companies (IOCs) operating in the Kurdistan Region received more than $51 million from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for oil exports in the month of September. Norwegian oil and gas company DNO ASA released a statement on Monday (December 5) saying the company received $36.20 million from the KRG as payment for September crude oil exports in Tawke field. “The funds, to be shared pro-rata by DNO and partner Genel Energy plc, include USD 30.36 million toward the monthly entitlement for September deliveries and USD 5.84 million toward the recovery of outstanding receivables for past deliveries,” the statement read. DNO ASA added that oil production in Tawke field averaged 112,897 barrels of oil per day (bpd), of which 112,282 bpd was delivered for export through Turkey. Meanwhile, Gulf Keystone announced in a statement that the KRG had paid the company $15 million for oil exports in Shaikan oil field for the month of September. “Gulf Keystone and the KRG's Ministry of Natural Resources continue to work towards agreeing the final form of the invoices for May through September 2016,” Gulf Keystone said. KRG Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said during the Kurdistan-Iraq Oil and Gas Conference on Monday that the KRG would do all it can to ensure prompt payments to the IOCs and gas companies operating in the Kurdistan Region. “You in the oil and gas community, who have invested greatly in Kurdistan . . .despite our financial pressures we are doing all we can to ensure timely payments to you,” Talabani said. “Through credible reform efforts, we want to show you by actions, not words, that we are a worthy partner. We seek your continued and increased investment. Our strong partnership with you in the oil and gas sector is crucial for Kurdistan’s continued progress and our mutual success,” Talabani continued. The KRG has faced an economic crisis since a dispute with Baghdad in early 2014 saw its share of the Iraqi federal budget delayed. Erbil increased independent oil exports in an effort to make up for dwindling payments, further straining relations with the central government. The global slump in oil prices, fight against the Islamic State (ISIS) and an influx of Syrian refugees and displaced Iraqis have added more pressure on the KRG’s economy. Salaries for government workers have also been plagued by delays since 2014 and Kurdish authorities have repeatedly said they cannot make payments due to a number of crises affecting the region. nrttv http://iraqdailyjournal.com/story-z14408724
