A Love Story

               Once upon a time , there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge and all the others including the big one Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island was sinking, so all prepared their boats, gathered all their things and left. Love wanted to persevere until the last moment. When the island starting sinking at a faster rate, love had no boat and was going to have to ask one of the others for a ride. Love decided that it was time to ask for help. Rich and wealthy was passing by in his grand looking boat through the little canal as love stood on the bank. Love said, "Rich and wealthy can you take me with you?" Rich and wealthy looked at Love, "No , I can't, after I loaded all my gold and silver there's no room for you, sorry".

               Following close behind was Vanity who also had a beautiful boat. Vanity, please, may I catch a ride with you. "I can't help you Love, you are all wet from the waves splashing you and it might damage my beautiful boat, sorry. Next was Sadness, so Love ask for his help, "Sadness let me ride with you. "Oh...love I am so sad that I need to be by myself". Then came Happiness and she was laughing so hard that she did not even hear the sounds of Love asking her. Just when Love lowered her head thinking she would perish with the island, suddenly there was a voice, "Come Love, you can ride with me". It was an elder of the island. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she even forgot to ask the elder his name when they arrived at their new destination. The elder disappeared in the distance. Love realized how much she owed the elder and asked knowledge also an elder standing close by, "Who helped me?" Oh! that was Time, knowledge said with a grin. "Never met him before," Love said,  "well then since you are full of knowledge can you tell me why he was the only one to stop and help me. Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, because time is the only one capable of taking the time or trying to understand How Great Love is........

 

There are lots of things that come into our lives that has to be decided by a time frame. If we try to rush through what ever it is it will only complicate or cause a disruption of what could have been good as this example shows us. Our impatience or misunderstanding can work against what would have been the best outcome. Sure , every once and a while we will be left with that look on our face of "Why". I have always live by this motto........."THINK TWICE AND ACT ONCE, SOMETIMES IT SAVES PROBLEMS" I hope you have a blessed day and remember God loves you.
