How bad can it be in Iraq, truly?

Recommended Posts

How bad can it be in Iraq, truly? There is a lot of worries and concerns about Iraq being able to move forward. I see it doing just fine!  https://www.facebook.com/Slemani.ChaviLand

Maybe some links of upbeat and modern Iraq today instead of the same old drooling "sitting on Pins and needle" stuff. I'll try to add new links as I run across them of Life in Iraq today! In the meantime, maybe you have a glimpse of Iraq you'd like to share! I know ChaviLand looks like fun! :twothumbs:

Yet you still want to be very careful if you travel there!  https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings/iraq-travel-warning.html  .....at least till further notice!

Thanks for posting jcfrag, imo I believe Iraq has made great leaps forward in their development and return to peace time life. You can tell by the links you have posted that not all is bad over there and little by little Iraq's social system is returning to normal. The problem is us and the media, us because as a society we love to dwell on the negative side of things, we enjoy misery, pain and suffering because that's what the media wants us to see and that's what sells, turn on the news or pick up a news paper and that's what you will find. Note: when I say us, I am generalizing, not all are misery searchers, but that's what's on the front pages and evening news channels each and everyday.

Iraq is returning to a peace time nation and their 2017 budget is based on that principle. Radicalism and extremist are spread globally not just in the ME so with that said, what I like to read and see is what's happening between the lines and I see Iraq emerging once again, getting down to business, bringing prosperity to a nation who wants it, smiles returning to the faces of the children and hopefully one day a place where the rest of the world can go and enjoy a culture engulfed in history and a past from which some historians have called the cradle of humanity. I hope that day comes because being a ancient history buff, I sure will visit that part of the world in my lifetime.

Just my :twocents:

so Jcfrag, like you asked. How bad can it be?

Not good if the power goes out every 4 hours. You might get stuck upside down. LOL. The amusement parks look nice.
