Karbala, June 16 (AKnews) "The U.S. forces are putting pressure on Sadr movement to change its attitudes toward the ongoing political process in the country or drag it to a military confrontation," the head of Ahrar bloc in Karbala said on Wednesday calling the legal committee in the parliament to release the followers of the movement that are detained by the American forces since last Friday."

"The American forces are exerting pressure on the followers of Sadr movement to change their national attitudes towards the new political process," Tarek Kikhany said.

""Ahrar" bloc in the Iraqi parliament will issue a lawsuit against U.S. forces through the legal committee in the parliament about the death of two civilians, and will demand the U.S. forces and the Iraqi government to release the woman detained by U.S. forces who suffers from severe injuries as a result of exposure to aggression."

"The U.S. forces are trying to drag the followers of Sadr movement to military confrontation by carrying out armed operations against them, including the last airdrops carried out by these forces north of Karbala on Friday that led to the killing of two civilians and detained three others, including a woman that was seriously injured."

"The central directives of the leaders of Sadr movement calls for the need to stay calm and avoid any escalation since the confrontation will lead to bad consequences, so we will resort to the law to get the rights of civilians affected by U.S. military operations."

Last Friday, the U.S. troops backed by Iraqi secrecy "SWAT"coming from the Iraqi capital Baghdad carried out airdrops in Khanafisah area (20) kilometers north west of Karbala (108 southwest of Baghdad), killing two civilians and arresting three others, according to security officials in Karbala.

Yesterday is but a dream, tomorrow but a vision. But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day.

thanks for the article woody.

This looks like a one sided story to me. So they expect the audience to believe that the U.S. and Iraq SWAT team for no reason just chose 3 people in the sadr movement to take out?

and then they want to only sue the U.S. what about the Iraq forces that were there?

You got that right quadraphonic. All I hear is a bunch of sour grapes that ought to be turned into whine. Besides they better remember what happened the last time they tangled with US forces. They got their collective butts kicked. They would be better served by shutting up and doing something, anything to get this country back to decent rather than blame anybody but themselves for what they have built. Morons.

Blaming others for all of your problems that you created is very common in the mideast. Obama does the same here.
