divemaster5734
What kills me is that even now, years later, society is OK with the massive rape that took place. The government wasn't just a bystander in the collapse, it was the motivator and facilitator. Bush loosened home lending requirements in response to special interest demands for more minority home ownership. With these words "“We can put light where there’s darkness, and hope where there’s despondency in this country. And part of it is working together as a nation to encourage folks to own their own home.” — President Bush, Oct. 15, 2002 he opened the gates and allowed the financial jackals to prey on the general public. This post is not to debate the intricacies of our monetary system, only to mention looking at the debt based system one can understand the abject truth in the concept. Unfortunately a lot of less than honorable persons took advantage of loop holes in every facet of the process, from borrowers scooping up multiple overpriced properties expecting to sell for unrealistic profits, serviced by processors exploiting the ignorance and greed for their own selfish needs, all contributing to the huge volume of new home loans. What a cleverly crafted phrase How many times have we heard these lofty sounding phrases coming from politics. What GWB was actually saying is this: "We've figured out a way to get even more people drowning in debt, and we will even make them feel good about it!" That is the true meaning of the words written for him probably by a banker! How easily we fall for these lofty sounding phrases, because if they would tell the truth most people would run the other way. They have to make it sound believable, always.
