Good day and HAPPY NEW YEAR all you lovely dinarians!

I hope your year is off to a  great start, I know mine is! For the first time
in about a decade I had a real vacation, where I spent a full THREE days
only working about 2 hours a day. Woot! What a great way to end 2015,
and now we're heading into 2016 and I feel REALLY good about the Iraqi
Dinar.

According to the latest, we should be seeing the Budget OFFICIAL around
mid-month, and there is strong talk of getting the oil law rammed into
place as well. I LIKE IT! Take a look at this article: http://goo.gl/jzf0XF

According to the news, Parliament resumes on the 16th and the second
session will be on the 19th. If I had to point at any key dates, those are
pretty high on my list.

:twothumbs:

Now, besides the fact that this is the earliest I've ever seen the Budget
on track to be done since I started following Iraq, and the very real fact
that they are seriously working on getting the HCL accomplished, there
is just a great "feeling" that things are going well for them (and therefore
us as well).

2016 has a great shot at being THE year, friends!

That's all I have for now - here's the Q's. Happy New Year!

Dinarian64 I know we've been waiting for good news and you've been really excited every time you come to post in the past few months… But there is a recent article that Yota posted on the Danar being devalued at 1400. Could you possibly have gotten the news in reverse? Or is this part of the plan?

IQD is still at 1180 for now. There's a few reasons they might devalue it... for one,

it would be a great way to suck in some of the currency in circulation. Another reason -

a red herring.

Regardless, until they actually do something with the rate, I'm not going to worry

about it. "Just another article".

:twocents:

ASUMama Hello fearless leader. I thought for giggles I would pose a question here for the Wednesday chat.

What happens to our Wednesday chat if on Sunday (tomorrow) the dinar blows? Woot woot!

Here's to extremely hopeful and optimistic blessings sooner rather than later!

 It WILL happen one of these weeks! And on that week, the Wednesday chat will be a

very merry place to be :D

countryroads Hi Adam. I was just wondering if the Iraqis are as concerned about the Dinars RVing as we are. Or are they sort of HO HUM on the RV? I am slowly loosing my confidence in this government and the Prime Minister. So is it going to take another change in government to finish this up, or maybe replace the officers of the Iraqi Bank. What's your take on this?
Countryroads.

I have talked to Iraqis both in Iraq and outside of Iraq. Some are aware of the possibility, some are not.

Of course it is important to those that know about it. And I don't think it will take another change of

government - Abadi is capable and I believe he wants to head in that direction.

:twothumbs:

Jaygo Will they stop giving the ball to Lacy and running up the middle and start passing the ball??? SON OF B$&@?!!!!

RIGHT! I was about to throw the remote if I had to watch him run straight into a WALL for 0 gain one

more time!!!

Oh well... 3 road wins and it's Superbowl time! :cheesehead:

eburt Happy New Year - 2016 Adam and Mods...With that said I hope to see some type of RV in 2016 - My questions is what is holding Iraq from approving the HCL in the 2016 budget? I know oil prices keep dropping but they should have known that would happen.  Just don't know why they keep asking for loans and keep delaying approving important laws in the budget.....

I don't think anything is stopping them. :twothumbs:

fredst My wife & I hope that you and all whom you hold dear had a happy & safe Christmas & New Year.

Is all the gloom & doom we're seeing just Iraq being Iraq? With them one never knows!
Thanks for all you & your team (especially Julie) do for us.

Happy New Year to you and yours, Fred!

Wayfarer Happy New Year, Adam et al. Our appreciation for the brightness of your exceptional skills and tireless efforts surpasses by far the clouds of disappointments that have always come.

But that 'once in a lifetime' day of fruition will surely come.
GO RV!

Thank you for the kind words. :tiphat:

TLHUBER Good Morning Adam and Happy New year !!!  Wishing 2016 to be our year.

I have several questions for you today,

1.  How do Banks and Dealers get their currencies that they sale to us, do they have to purchase the currencies?

2.  What do the Countries do with the money, that the Banks or Dealers use to purchase a countries currency ( if the banks and dealers have to purchase the currency ), is the money put in a reserve account in the countries Central Bank?

3.  What happens to all the left over currency when and if a revaluation takes place?

With all the sales of these 2 currencies, the  Dinar and Dong, SOMEONE has made some dam good MONEY over the years.  I was hoping with the shut down of Sterling and I forget the name of the other Dealer, that maybe that would of been a good sign that something was about to happen, I guess i was wrong.  Just my thoughts, but as long as the Dinar / Dong continue to sale, nothing is going to happen anytime soon.  I know i should not be discouraged with all that has happened in just the past year, but hopelessness raises its ugly head every so often.

1. Yes, they purchase them.

2. The USD enters the regular circulation in Iraq, is part of the auctions, etc.

3. There is no such thing as "left over" currency. :twothumbs:

Sterling made some bad business decisions that had nothing to do with the dinar situation.

And yes, you should not be discouraged. Things are looking very good for us right now.

:twothumbs:

TLHUBER Hey Adam I have another question for you.  Can a Country change its rate at anytime or does a currency have to change according to the Treasury of the UN Operational Exchange, timeline? Would be interesting to find out if the Kuwait Dinar changed during the Treasury of the UN's timeline.

The CBI can do it at any time they choose, and not one organization in the world can

stop them.

:twothumbs:

rj-01 Like everyone - waiting as fast as I can for this pop  :eyebrows:

Q1 : I recently herd the budget should be signed this week. Please refresh my memory Adam, but I thought it had to be posted in the paper before it could be ratified. I cannot recall the order of the process.

Q2 : When the budget is posted/passed/finalized - do you think some of the smarter members here will be able to tease out the future of the HCL and the projected RV rates ?

Q3 : Some time ago, it was reported Iraq applied for a credit rating. Any updates on that and what it means for budget and/or RV ?

Thanks Adam.

1. It is scheduled for mid-month, after which time it will be posted in the Gazzette, and then it

is officially official.

2. I certainly look forward to hearing theories, but it's my hope that we won't have time to theorize -

once the budget is passed, HCL should be next on the list, and with any luck we'll be blind-sided

by an overnight RV. :partyhat:

3. No updates on it... we're about at the time-frame that I suspected it would take, so I wouldn't be

surprised to hear about that again soon.

Of course, with a major change in the rate, the credit rating may be delayed... but at that point, we

won't care.

=========================== // =================================

That's it for now... again, Happy New Year everyone!

2016 should be awesome for us.

Regarding Adam saying the President would ratify the budget by middle of this month, I believe our finest Sir Yota posted on Sunday, January 3rd the President or Infallible, nas the article referred to him, has already approved or ratified the 2016 budget.

http://dinarvets.com/forums/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=reply_post&f=5&t=213714&qpid=1605602

I hope that link works! Anyway we just wait now for Gazette publishing, right? Please confirm this Yota or anyone smarter than I am about this!

Thank you and woot woot! I really feel good things are coming our way!

I was going to bring the same point. Per the article on the 3rd, the budget has been signed and all were waiting for is the printing in the gazette. My understanding the HCL is in the budget. We also need some laws completed, National Guard, Amnesty, and one other I can't remember.

Also the Budget Law need to be passed. This law will activate the budget and the HCL, Taxes and tariffs  which I understand are in the budget.

OK guys----let er rip!

Well you are going to get it right one day so why not have a guess at this year too, well last year was meant to be the one so why not this.......I just cant see this to be perfectly honest with you for me its a lost cause.

I check here now & then in the hope things may be different but there always the same, same people trolling for news, same people posting irrelevant stuff, same old same old

If anyone still thinks after 11-12 years this will actually come about you have got to get your heads read

I did enjoy the ride it was fun but reality sometimes sets you down with a very big bump....last year was the best time to do the RV, this year will be the very worst, oil per barrel at its all time low by March 2016...how can you set a budget based on the price of oil now & then take into account the fall expect.....no country on this earth would risk a RV at this time

So just be honest to yourselves its not going to happen, live your life stop spending your time sitting here looking for the perfect message.......not going to happen
