Iraq is heading to borrow from international institutions after failing to sell Treasury bonds

Iraq has dropped from the sale of foreign bonds worth 6 billion dollars due to the high interest rate imposed by the international financial institutions, which may be paid towards the path of external borrowing to fill the budgets of 2015 and 2016 deficit.

And allow the budget in 2015, voted on by the House of Representatives earlier this year, the Ministry of Finance to borrow or issue of internal and external treasury bonds to cover the deficit, which exceeded 20%, due to lower oil prices.

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - The Ministry of Finance began, new talks to borrow from international financial bodies, noting that the talks aimed at getting financial loans a few of the benefits.

He said Undersecretary Fadel prophet's (IMN), "The Minister of Finance Hocheaz Zebari asked to wait for the time being to issue foreign bonds because of the higher interest rate, while the situation in Iraq improves physical then cut interest rates."

Prophet said that "the ministry is currently in talks via other channels external borrowing rates have little benefit," adding that "discussions are still ongoing and when a deal will announce the details."

Predicted Iraq's draft budget for next year in 2016, a deficit of 29.4 trillion dinars (25.81 billion dollars), which proposed the budget size of 113.5 trillion Iraqi dinars (99.65 billion dollars).
