We are working with our partners in Syria and in general there is an understanding that the unification of efforts in the fight against terrorism must go in parallel with a kind of political process in Syria itself.

BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was ready to hold early parliamentary elections and share power with the constructive opposition, calling for the establishment of an international coalition to counter extremism, saying he had spoken with US President Barack Obama on this initiative.

Moscow has made clear it does not want Assad to leave power and after Daash terrorist organization dominated by large areas of Syria and Iraq, the United States and Saudi Arabia called on to work with Damascus to fight the common enemy.

The Russian president said on the sidelines of the East Economic Forum in Vladivostok of Far Eastern Russia, "really want to find some kind of international coalition to fight terrorism and extremism," according to "Reuters" he said, and I followed, "the obelisk."

Putin added that he "spoke with US President on this matter and for this purpose we consult with our American partners .. personally I spoke on this issue with US President Obama."

"We're working with our partners in Syria and in general there is an understanding that the unification of efforts in the fight against terrorism must go in parallel with a kind of political process in Syria itself."

And he went on, "the Syrian president agrees with this down to hold early elections for parliamentary and transfer it to make contact with the so-called health and involve the opposition in the government."

Moscow wants to be the coalition led by the United States and carried out air strikes against Daash sites to coordinate its operations with the Syrian and Iraqi armies.

exactly what i have been feeling lately and corroborated by Adam's posting, Daesh's days are numbered in both iraq and syria.  not saying that they will be totally eradicated by they will be well controlled.  i was listening to npr on my lunch break and they too were discussing the situation and noted that large gains have been made recently against the terror group.  amazingly this almost seems syncopated with the new reforms taking place in iraq and the pursuit of direct foreign investment.
