That is sad. I hope sams soul finds peace. And sams family find peace.

The shot was quick, sam must have seen the "officer" with his hand already on the gun and probably got scared cuz cop is trying to force him out. I did not hear anything about being under arrest.

All because of no front license plate even though he had it in dash compartment.

Innocent life man. I hope that cop gets prison.

reports coming out are showing Sam would not produce a drivers license upon order of the police.  where everything goes completely south is when additional cops arrive on the scene and officer tensing completely changes his story to his comrades.  he lies to them and says that Sam was dragging him with the car down the street.

these sort of lies have persisted in police justice within black communities.  today's technology however is shifting the scales of justice toward truth whereas before, the officer's testimony was truth and any contradiction was lie.

My thoughts exactly, Trinity...Not just about this specific case but in general... Supposedly cameras will tell the truth ( if un-touched)...So it's a good thing.

I've never been to the University of Cincinnati, so I have no idea......but if that street is on campus, The U of Cincy must be a dump.  Campus cops should stick to what they know....underage drinking, parking lot violations, hazing and streaking.  What a sad day for the DuBose family.   :(

And that is why he has rightly been charged with murder

a very emotional day for me, i must attest.  seeing how this all played out puts a hurt in my gut that i just can't shake.  a young man is dead today and i can't reconcile why in my mind.  why lethal force and why so immediately?  the kid posed no threat at all except not producing a license and out of fear it appears he was hesitantly fleeing.  worse case scenario, the cop just let him go.  he already has all the information he needs to apprehend the kid.

what frame of mind tells this cop to "shoot him in the head"?  what circle of people do he associate with that developed and evolved this sort of thinking?  how can he stand in front of his comrades and converse after committing such a heinous crime?  what sort of desensitized animal can do such a thing; kill a person and then hold a conversation and corroborate a lie to hide the truth?  where do THUGS like this come from and where do they form their ARROGANCE to so easily assume a position of dominance over another person?

very emotional day for me to say the least.  i am very very sad about this incident.  my love, prayers and condolences to the family.

Their training clearly is not helping. Look at this:

Is Your Local Police Department Using Pictures of Pregnant Women and Children for Target Practice?

Mike Riggs|

Feb. 19, 2013 1:13 pLittleBoy.png?h=286&w=285Law Enforcement Targets INC

Update: Law Enforcement Targets Inc. responds to public outcry over targets featuring pregnant woman, child, grand parents.

Original post: What if I told you police in your town could desensitize themselves to the idea of shooting a (armed) child, pregnant woman, or young mother, for just a couple of bucks? The "No More Hesitation" series from Law Enforcement Targets Inc. offers exactly that. For less than 99 cents per target, police can shoot at real-life images "designed to give officers the experience of dealing with deadly force shooting scenarios with subjects that are not the norm during training."

The marketing team at Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. sends along this helpful explanation for the "No More Hesitation" series:

"The subjects in NMH targets were chosen in order to give officers the experience of dealing with deadly force shooting scenarios with subjects that are not the norm during training. I found while speaking with officers and trainers in the law enforcement community that there is a hesitation on the part of cops when deadly force is required on subjects with atypical age, frailty or condition (one officer explaining that he enlarged photos of his own kids to use as targets so that he would not be caught off guard with such a drastically new experience while on duty). This hesitation time may be only seconds but that is not acceptable when officers are losing their lives in these same situations. The goal of NMH is to break that stereotype on the range, regardless of how slim the chances are of encountering a real life scenario that involves a child, pregnant woman, etc. If that initial hesitation time can be cut down due to range experience, the officer and community are better served."

LittleBoy.png?h=501&w=500Law Enforcement Targets, Inc.

PregnantWoman.png?h=495&w=500Law Enforcement Targets INC

The series contains seven targets in all, titled Pregnant Woman, Older Man 1, Older Man 2, Older Woman, Young Mother, Young Girl, and Little Brother. Each of the depicted subjects is armed.

I've reached out to Minnesota-based Law Enforcement Targets, Inc., for comment on what inspired the series and whether it's popular with law enforcement groups (see comment added above). Considering that the company has landed $5.5 million worth of contracts with the federal government, it might also be interesting to know if these targets are being used by federal law enforcement agents.

I didn't bother to read all of your post after the video . But what I saw was an officer that was trying to do his job and the dumbass put the officer in harms way when he chose to drive off. If I was on a jury it would be a justifiable shooting, no wonder these thugs can act out and commit more violence, they have no respect for the law. I would bet 10 to 1 that what ever his name was had plenty of priors. Neg away ! LOL

You should really learn his name before you judge him......By the way, the bottle of Gin hadn't even been opened....still had the seal tight to the cap.   Oh....and no need to kill driving texters.  They will eventually accomplish that mission on their own.

It's not for me to judge what's his name at this point I'll leave that for his creator, but by his reckless disregard for law and order he brought on his early demise of his own accord. No one will ever know but had he rounded the corner, he could have easily took an innocent life in his flight from prosecution! And as for the texting drivers you are 100% right !

Texst..whatever you call yourself,  He was shot in the head immediately when he put his car in drive.....He managed to keep it between the curbs for a couple hundred feet while driving dead.  You should watch the video again....maybe a few times.

Peace you and I will never know how this would have turned out had what's his name done the right thing ! The officer ask him to exit his vehicle, I didn't exactly stereotype but obviously you have never been in that situation and it is what it is .......no LP on the front / a bottle in plain view/ inability to answer an officers request about a DL/ disobeying the lawful order of a police officer/ and flight ! That's what I judged !

Again what's his name was stopped on a traffic violation. no front LP / vehicle not registered to him/ unable to answer the officers question about DL / in plain view a bottle of alcohol on the floor board / refusal to get out of vehicle/ he forced the door shut/ he placed the vehicle in gear/ and placed foot on gas ! I didn't stereotype this stupid individual but by his actions he caused his own demise! The officer was at point blank and his gun was drawn after this idiot did all that I said he did ! Watch the video ! The officer was in danger at this point due to his close proximity, he could have been run over in trying to stop him ! His gun most likely discharged because he was in a struggle for the door and there was no time to react in any other manner. The whole situation went from 0 to 100 in just seconds ! And Peace I've already been there done that ! With a lot better outcome of course, but it sure was sweet to see him total out his vehicle and damaged numerous properties, along with his heavily damaged body and he did it all himself ! No one will ever know but this fool could have easily rounded a corner and took an innocent life or lives during his flight from breaking the law. No I didn't stereotype but it is what it is ! All of the bells and whistles were sure going off !

Almost as bad as killing a Lion, hey Shabbs?

So I trust you and peace are equally upset about the entire

Planed Parenthood selling of baby organs, right?

Today it was revealed that around 10% of the baby's organs

are harvested after the child is born. Guess that's OK since

70% of their abortion centers are located in black neighborhoods.

Considering that Margret Sanger was an avowed racist this shouldn't

surprise anyone.

Grazie for your words and I'm sorry.

Not nearly as dangerous as the gun in the wrong hands.

I'm opposed to the poaching of any protected animal.  I'm opposed to the harvesting of baby parts.  And I'm opposed to cops killing people over minor traffic infractions.  Doesn't quite fit into the all or nothing liberal viewpoint does it, my friend?   :peace:  Each issue on it's own merits....that's my philosophy.   :D
