  • Butifldrm: The Chinese Central Bank announced China's gold reserves stood at 1,450 tons at the end of June, up 57% from the previous time the modification numbers reserves by more than six years. Despite this increase in China's gold reserves, it now represents 1.65% of total foreign reserves, compared with 1.8% in June 2009 while for around 73% in the United States. China considers the gold reserves a State secret and not inform the IMF of size on a monthly basis, as do most other States. And the last time that China amended its gold reserves numbers were in 2009 when it raised the level to 1054.1 tonnes from 600 tonnes. He said the people's Bank of China (Central Bank) to invest in gold would be useful for risk management. He will continue to increase the reserves of the yellow metal through a number of international and local channels. He said that the increase of 604 tons worth 21 964 billion US dollars on Friday will help ensure security, liquidity and value of China's international reserves. These figures make China sixth globally, gold reserves, after the United States and Germany, IMF, Italy and France.
