nstoolman1
My father was on a flight that Mr. Brooks was on when he went to the flight cabin and did a routine. My dad said it was so funny. He had recognized him as he went up there.
EagleEye
TG ...a REAL good Foster Brooks routine...love it ...sort of reminds me of a guy I used to fly with...the rule of aviation is 12 hours bottle to throttle...I frequently flew with a guy who routinely came in with a hangover...made lights years worse with the "green house effect" in many cockpits...on one such flight he was so miserable that upon a fuel layover he was groaning with his head in his hands...I offered to pray for him...he mumbled something unintelligible so I laid hands on him and started praying.... suddenly he sprung from the seat and yelled " I'M OK I'M OK DON'T TOUCH ME "......years later I heard that he told everyone in flight ops that he was healed instantly !!! prayer changes things !! 3KINGS
Despite the fact that his greatest fame came from portraying a comic drunk, Brooks himself quit drinking in the early 1960s, on a bet, and remained a teetotaler for the rest of his life.
