The head of the Commission on oil and energy Attorney Erez Abdullah, that the non-enactment of the oil and gas law is the reason why the expansion of the dispute between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government Department.

Said Abdullah that "mutual accusations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government will not stop unless the legislation of the oil and gas law will not solve the formation of an investigative committee only", calling on governments to "understanding and application of the Convention and the legislation of the oil and gas law to stop the problems that have affected the ordinary citizen."
