Just trying to maintain my "Helping Hands" award! hahahaaha. Actually, living here, I get exposed to a lot of "cutting-edge" stuff that many in the States never hear about. Rather sad when you think about it. The medical-pharmaceutical-industry has such a hold on what a physician gets exposed to. Here, we can explore more. Many thing fall into a "grey-area" which allows us to practice various things without a direct violation of the law. Part of this stems from the promoting of medical tourism. Certain things have been prohibited since I've been living here, such as: stem-cell therapy (outside of research, of course), but since I have strong connections in Korea, where they wont even bat-an-eye with that, I can refer people over. Ozone, IPT (insulin potentization therapy), peptide injections, etc. are allowed to some degree or another. Rarely, am I at a loss to help people and we get the rich and famous stopping-by for their dose of whatever (that they would never be able to get in their home country). Its rather nice to offer so much and not worry about the "hammer of establishment medicine" coming down on you. Also, more and more people want to set-up their own places at home. So HOPEFULLLY, you will start seeing more truly Integrative Clinics opening-up around the world.
