I have to apologize to everyone for missing last week's Wednesday chat... hopefully 

you all feel that I've been sufficiently beaten since then, and I'll do my best to make 

sure it doesn't happen again. (Or maybe it's time to switch to bi-weekly )

 

Of course, no promises there.

 

Anyway, let's talk about the Dinar! Here's the latest:

Now, what does that all mean? SQUAT. 

 

A few months ago all the gurus and know-it-alls were yammering about the 

new 50k and 100k notes... now we're hearing that they won't be out till 

early 2016.

 

A few months ago we were hearing from the Negative Nancys that ISIS was 

going to ruin this investment and we'll never see a return because ISIS ISIS ISIS.

Now, where are we? Baghdad still hasn't fallen. ISIS still hasn't taken over Iraq. 

 

 

For years, the gurus claim to know a date. They have been wrong.

 

And for years, the same trolls and lopsters run around with "I told you so" 

attitudes, but the real truth is they don't know anything. They can't guarantee 

that something "won't" happen, they can only say "I told you it wouldn't happen 

last week"... and they will continue to be right, until the day they are proven 

wrong.

 

I'm just as positive on this IQD thing as I ever have been. In fact, I'm less of a 

skeptic over the last 6 months than ever before, because Iraq IS making progress.

 

(I'm also a lot more patient than I was a decade ago... I will thank Iraq for that! )

happened, it might actually be the first time in recorded history... but I'll try

countryroads  Hi Adam.  Well like a few members, the past few week's news out of Iraq have gotten me "down in the dumps" However, the real problems are over in Iraq. I also know that with the present government we have that, the US has very little influence with other countries. If the government has no influence over Iraq, then there is no individual that is going to have influence either.
What I am getting to is that we have too many members now that are willing to point a finger at you, because they aren't rich. They haven't shown ability to change things.

So Adam, just keep on doing what you are doing. There are still members who aren't in this to pass blame and judgment.

MillieChatham  We are about to head out on vacation. Should we take some dinar with us in case an RV happens while we are in another state? Or, in the event that an RV does (happily) occur should we just wait a few weeks till we're back home to cash in..

I wouldn't advise anyone to be more than a couple days away from their dinar.

I believe that the DV Members do appreciate and respect what you report but maybe most Members would rather that you see the Wednesday Reports being important and helpful to us and not something that is a pain for you to do.

Half the articles posted to this sight say ISIS is marching onward, while the other half of the articles say Ramadi is surrounded by Iraq forces, or that they killed 17 terrorists, and dismantled 4 IED's. Any realistic time frames..

 

 

I agree with you, half say one thing and the other half say something different.

 

I try not to read too much into that - boots on the ground tell me it's not as bleak as the MSM says.

 

And you know I don't do "timeframes"!

I rarely write folks but I do read Adams posts and sometimes reread them. Now off to my questions. Adam, I know of one Central American country that uses currency made by Thomas de La Rue. Is there any other countries in Latin America (Central or South) that has their currency printed by Thomas de La Rue? My thought process about a Latin American country having their currency printed by Thomas de La Rue is that they will in fact have the machines in place to authenticate or can authenticate Iraqi Dinar. Is that a correct assessment? Thanks Adam for all that you do.Tico

 

 

 

That's an interesting question... I think you are asking if there will be countries in Latin America that will be ready to cash in Dinars at the appropriate time?

 

If that's the question, then the answer is YES, absolutely. My apologies if I misunderstood you there.
 

Hellifiknow  Credit rating.....big news in guru land for a while. Havent heard much about it in a while....have you?

 

 

 

The Credit rating is going to take at least a total of 3 months, and it's only been about one month. I'm expecting to hear more news on that in the next month or two.

It might be true that *someone* gave them that credit rating, but that *someone* isn't the big one.

 

We're still waiting on the big official rating.

I'm sorry my friend, I didn't have time to look into that one. I will say that I doubt Kurdistan will ever become autonomous, so that's a moot point.

 

Dinarian64  Why do you put people up for moderation due to abusive behavior who are just sticking up for other members and doing so in a polite manner without taking the time to look at the context?

I am completely baffled as this does not seem democratic and I have been completely pummeled with nastiness by members who were chronically abusive and responded with politeness?

Perhaps consider reading all the posts by members to see what is really going on as this is contrary to the spirit of what you seem to present yourself as wanting.

I wrote an essay, but on a different topic. It's posted in the VIP section. But I will at least give a short answer:

 

1. Middle East: always has been and always will be chaos. This has not prevented high value currency in the past, and won't prevent it in the future.

 

2. Absolutely! Would I want to live there? NO! But is there money to be made there? YOU BET!

 

And thank you for your thoughts on "thinning the herd". I've been considering it lately.

 

Freedomwish  Wow big bro, tough crowd indeed here - based on the recent issues, slagging/confusing/conflicting articles, yadda yadda yadda - I'll be good with a main, overall monthly chat instead of a weekly chat.  Of course unless if you have some urgent news you feel you would need to share, you've always been on point in addressing communication as needed.  No worries here, just my opinion.  I just don't see at this point in time unless you feel otherwise, a weekly chat is needed based on the current overall state Iraq.
I could only imagine either you are extremely overwhelmed continuing working behind the scenes for VIP/OSI and perhaps this would give you some breathing room and ample time to gather concrete news in one monthly sitting than coming back week to week, understandably without repeating the "huff and puff"?

Hey, I'm all for making things easier.    We must understand it's Iraq and we have to be patient.  Again, just my opinion.

waitingondinar  Hello Adam,  We heard months ago from Abadi that the "dinar value will change soon".  That was back in April.  Then they said by end of May...........nothing going on.  Now they say before Ramadan....................????? For as long as they have been working on this  there seems to be just a "move it out"(date) mentality.  We keep hearing there really isn't any thing else to do.................but there seems to be a something "new" every day.  What are you hearing from your contacts in Iraq.  One could easily suspect this is a scam.  They keep doing business with a "crap" currency. Help us out Adam.

 

 

I don't know what you mean by a "scam" - the dinar is a very real currency, and in my opinion it 

has a very real chance to make some very real gains.

 

Most likely, the "they" you are referring to are the very people you shouldn't be listening to. 

 

This isn't about "Monday" or any other specific date. Iraq doesn't care about you, me, or anyone

else on this site.

 

This is all about what Iraq stands to gain and what Iraq has to do in order to make it happen. As 

of this year, Kurdistan and Baghdad are skipping along hand in hand, in more harmony than we 

have EVER seen. Kurdistan is producing more oil every month, and Baghdad is dutifully sending 

them the money they deserve for it. This is getting us closer to an HCL every day.

 

The GOI is in better shape than at ANY time in the last 7 or more years. With Maliki out of the big 

seat, Parliament has made more progress already this year than the entire last 5.

 

I'm sorry it didn't happen last Tuesday like a few of the gurus promised... but I will not apologize 

for remaining positive here.

 

And on that note, I'd like to wish you all a wonderful day and a great start of your summer.

Mr. Seabee.  In a short response you should know that Adam has certain things that he discusses in open forum and other things that can be discussed elsewhere.  There are many questions that don't get answered in the weekly chat.  Since you are VIP might I suggest that you look elsewhere for your answers and I'm sure you will get them.  And yes, you got 16 +s at least but I for one was not impressed in the way you wrote your question.  I did not neg or say anything about it as the question area was not the place to do it.  If you were to look around this site a bit you will see some more info regarding your post and the information you seek.

 

There is always one thing that bothers me with posts like yours.  You mentioned your health and then said it doesn't matter.  Then why say it?  Are you supposed to be treated differently because you have health issues?  This site is full of people with health problems and several have died waiting for the RV.  I wish I could say what I really think but I won't.

Problem is that not all DeLaRue machines r set to scan dinars for counterfitting. An older model is De La Rue 8625, and Banks r equiped with counting curencies, not scaning. I understand that some new EV86-Series r also checking for counterfitting. So u will have to specificly ask the bank if they have such equipment. I aquired some older DeLaRue machines, and only Model#8625 will scan the UV mark.
