Enorrste In no way does this threaten our investment, since the change has already taken place. More to the point, the “plan” as we know it is continuing forward in the face of this change from 1166 to 1305. Finally, I do not expect the official rate to change. This is an ameliatorive move on the part of the CBI to temporarily reduce imports and lower the deficit somewhat. The point to be made here, then, is that the introduction of the larger 50000 and 100000 dinar notes will still move ahead, thus reducing the paper in circulation by up to 75%, then the float will be instituted and the dinar value will rise.

Luigi says...this is one Guru's opine...treat as a rumor until varified by multiple sources.

here's another article related to above story...

Enorrste Article quote: “…the central bank has taken several measures to reduce the federal budget for the 2015 deficit, which exceeded the rate of more than 40%, including reducing the dinar exchange rate against the dollar, noting during their talk Agency / JD / that the reduction rate of the dinar against the dollar is a cure, but over because it will raise the rates of inflation and reduces the strength of the local currency, while the dollar swung the price will stabilize at 1300 dinars in the coming period.” The article is very clear in that the reduction in the value of the dinar has already occurred, since the rate now…is 1305. The CBI has stated that it will stabilize at 1300, so we may expect them to begin procedures to do just that.

Oh no...the IQD is weakening against the USD.

I still think these new larger bills will be for accountability...Everyone that has a substantial amount of 25,000 dinar notes will have to have them accounted for and replaced by these newer larger notes...These new larger bills if kept in volts and used for exclusively for international purposes would secure large scales counterfeiting from being applicable...I think these larger bills are above us and are for business and international security...

Agree. The larger notes are for int'l commerce & trade between nations & corporations. The USA also took the large denom notes out of curculation from the general public & are mainly used for inter banking transactions.

Luigi believes the 1300 exchange rate is temporary. The IQD will strengthen against the USD soon.
