Vice: The Central Bank can not delete the zeros

It is noteworthy that some economists believe that Iraq is not formatted for the time being to delete the zeros of the Iraqi dinar, pointing out that the deletion needs to be a security and political stability as well as stability of the economy.

What does everyone not understand about this? Deleting the zeroes is not a good thing. They want to remove attributed value to large face note dinars, so that a 25,000iqd note is equivalent to $25 without zeroes. They wouldn't print larger denomination bills if they plan on just removing them from circulation at some random point when security, political, and economic are stable. That would make no sense.

IMHo, they are getting more stable security-wise by the day, and as for the economy. Oil is all but rock-bottom for a finite resource that EVERYBODY uses, it seems to me that it can only go up, which makes any second now a GREAT time to RV.

I don't believe the CBI will issue a new 50.000 or 100.000 dinar note.

If they're doing that to reduce the note count, why don't issue a 500.000 or 1.000.000 dinar note?

I believe is the new 50 and 100 dinar note with more security on it and a new language.

What does everyone not understand about this? Deleting the zeroes is not a good thing. They want to remove attributed value to large face note dinars, so that a 25,000iqd note is equivalent to $25 without zeroes. They wouldn't print larger denomination bills if they plan on just removing them from circulation at some random point when security, political, and economic are stable. That would make no sense.

My guess would be you missed the article a while back in which the IMF explicitly said this was NOT the case and that they would hold the value of said note.Hope that helps
