Female Air Force vet arrested trying to stop US flag protest

Recommended Posts

***///

When she posed naked in PLAYBOY wearin' nuthin' BUT The Flag,

she was demoted, and left The Air Force just a year later.

Seems she learned her lesson about the importance of Our Flag.

Hey, she found it discarded on the ground.  She picked it up--- finders keepers.

Actually Gals, as she explained to Meghan Kelly yesterday... the poses with the flag weren't part of the official/printed Playboy shoot, but rather her personal expression meant to honor the importance/symbolism of the American Flag.  Although her "release" from the Air Force was due to the Playboy shoot, it was an honorable discharge with the option to re-join if she wanted.

She expressed that if you were stripped to being bare, with nothing materialistic... all you would have is your Freedom and your Constitutional Rights and Liberty.  THAT is what she claims she was artistically representing!   I for one... appreciate it on all levels!

And with that, her actions concerning the protest were consistent with her values.  :salute:

Yep... finders keepers!!!  Carry on!!   :salute:  :salute:

We agree with her, JAX.... we didn't condemn her at all.

We support her !

She had her reasons for her actions with the PLAYBOY bit...

She accepted the consequences and guess it kept chasin' her, because she got out pretty close to her 20....

Would've been nice if she coulda made her 20, but hey, we weren't there....

We're pretty sure the old boy network didn't make it easy on her to stay....

So first they tell her what she did in PLAYBOY  glorifying The Flag was wrong and she was punished

and 'taught a lesson' by them,

So this time,  she stands up for Old Glory and this happens...

Society can't have it both ways... :confused2:

So what about 'the lesson' she was supposed to have taken away from the PLAYBOY incident...

Damned if she do --- damned if she don't. <_<

We're standin' by her. :eagle:  :salute:  :salute:

Logically, the First Amendment has been held to protect the freedom of idiots to trash our flag.  I agree with the ruling.

However, the Courts have also long recognized that intentionally provocative "fightin words" (or actions) understandably (and even predictably) stimulate violent reactions in some of those who witness them, and excuse their reactions to the agitators in both criminal and civil proceedings.  I not only agree with those rulings, I would make them a presumptively true and correct defense for vets in flag and military record cases.  The asses who hate America, or who would steal the honor of those who have served, need to understand that there may be serious consequences to their "protected" but aggressively provocative behavior.

I don't like that she resisted arrest. Seems like she was just looking for attention.

When you come across a group of flag-desecrating America-haters, you should laugh at them!  Point at them and invite others to join you as you ridicule them loudly for their weak display of civil disobedience.  Embarrass them for being unoriginal and most of all, unworthy of the freedoms that piece of fabric represents. America-haters are the thinnest-skinned people on earth! :D

You're late Dream Team Leader!  But of course you're right!   :twothumbs: Thin skin is always in fashion with flag stompers and that ilk.  <_<   And, I guess it can be hard for veterans to keep their poise when witnessing this stuff!  Even as just a civilian, I'd have a hard time not attempting to rescue that flag...  But handing it over to the police would have been a victory/reward in itself.  Hopefully, she'll approach the situation differently the next time if she's ever compelled.

Sorry I'm late Charlie... er... Jax!  It's been a long week... had to say goodbye to the family dog, trying to kick my addiction to coffee creamer and my 75 yo toddler woke up at 4am thinking the house was on fire!  By the looks of your avatar, the Gals must have confused you with Shabs and already have you stripped down and ready for a dunk in the Jello pool!!!  Shall I have them stand down or are you up for a HAZING you won't soon forget?

We DO crochet... knit....

twist hemp into rope (among other medicinal things)... tie a mean knot and know how to throw a lasso, too.

BTW:  Did anyone else hear that the instigator of this supposed "protest" is a known agitator and was later

ARRESTED since this incident occurred...?

Police Department is asking for tips in locating Eric Sheppard, who led a flag protest on campus grounds last Friday.

At Odum Library at approximately 2:45 p.m., VSU Police were performing extra patrols as part of extra security in light of recent protests at the university. VSU police officers located a backpack on university property and inside the backpack a handgun was found. Unmistakable evidence has now been located by law enforcement linking the gun to Eric Sheppard. Based on that evidence, an independent judge has issued an arrest warrant for Eric Sheppard who has been recently been seen on television as a protester.Although there was an extensive search for Sheppard by law enforcement, he was not located. He is now wanted and considered armed and dangerous. There is no evidence at this time to reflect that Sheppard is on university property and in fact, law enforcement now believes he is in hiding.

In the upside down world that is life on college campuses these days,  Air Force veteran Michelle Manhart, who had tried to rescue the American flag Sheppard’s group was desecrating, was hauled away in handcuffs and detained by campus security at Georgia University last week.

She admitted that she snatched the flag from the group of black radicals who had put the flag on the ground and were walking on it.One member of the unnamed group told the Valdosta Daily Times they were desecrating the flag as “a symbol of our protest.”

The group has been identified as a ”Black Supremacy movement”  in the same vein as the New Black Panthers and is led by “full time college student/coach/community leader” and “young man with a plan for socioeconomic change,” Eric Sheppard Jr.

“When a slave understands his situation and understands he doesn’t want to be in slavery, he does not respect or revere anything his slave master has put in front of him, a VSU student told the newspaper.

Via The Conservative Treehouse, here’s a picture of the “community leaders” as shared on their social media:

Valdosta state university protest crazy radical suspect

Published on Apr 21, 2015

This guy has to be insane, he admits to being a terrorist toward white people and warns of death to whites around the world. This is disgusting, how can this be allowed? How can someone be so disrespectful to the United States, the flag and members of the armed forces? The University of Valdosta, reported that this individual is wanted, also armed and dangerous. How was someone like this allowed on campus?

It is also worrisome that someone can be so hateful against the student body and people in general, race aside people are people

This is part of the unfortunate american flag protest at valdosta state university.
