The Heat Is On For GOI To Get 'er Done Before The 7th Or Delay The RV Until July.

Then Comes Haj & Ramadan.

We Could Be Looking At Late Fall For The Next Window Of Opportunity.

Will This Derail Any Hopes Of A Early RV?

1. FIRST, THEY SAY THEY WILL EXTEND THE TERM TO 7TH OF JUNE......... to extend the legislative term of the parliament one month to pass legislation in the House of Representatives.

2. THEN THEY SAY FROM THE 7TH OF MAY A HOLIDAY FOR 2 MONTHS.......... "the legislative term of the House of Representatives will end on 7 of next May, after which there will be a legislative holiday for two months 'likely' to extend this chapter one month and thus will begin the holiday from June 7 until the seventh of July next."

3. SOO, DOES THIS MEAN THEY WILL WORK UP TO THE 7TH OF MAY OR WORK THRU THE 2 MONTHS OFF????............."through the extension of the chapter, we will work to pass important laws, notably the parties and the Federal Court Act,"

TO CONCLUDE: WORK FOR 2 N 1/2 MORE WEEKS TO TAKE A 2 MONTH SEISTA AND THEN COME BACK IN JULY?????????? ME THINKS THE CITIZENS WILL BE, OH MAYBE SLIGHTLY ANGERED????

AM HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME WITH THIS SCENERIO, ANYONE ELSE????

Luigi says...GOI better get on the stick. This window is closing very rapidly. We don't want this to drag out till June or July. Then you have Haj & Ramadan after that window. Before we know it our holidays & 2016 will be here with Hillarious the Shank dragging this window out to 2020. Go RV.

I read news, no link, earlier that Jabouri was extending the May 7th recess to start June 7th instead. Sad that with all the time in the world to tackle real issues, their parliament likes to focus on asphalt contracts for paving streets in Baghdad and camel parking fees.

This window of opportunity is closing fast. About two weeks to get it done or face more delays. In the Fall the GOI takes another 2 month recess. Then we have Haj Ramadan & the patriotic national holidays.  We could be looking at 2016 as the next window of opportunity. I hope I'm wrong & it goes this week. Go RV.
