Happy Wednesday everyone!

This update will be short and sweet, and those are ALWAYS the best ones...
because it means the situation is speaking for itself and that makes my job
a whole lot easier!

If you haven't noticed, I've been tagging my weekly updates with "Adam
Montana Weekly", so all you have to do is click that link and you can get a
quick list of my most recent updates.

And if you were to do that today, you'll see that last week I made mention
of how the HCL has been suspiciously absent in the news feed... well, not
any more! The HCL is back on the table and it's possible that we'll see it
addressed in the next Parliament session.

This was just posted this morning: LINK

WOOT!!!!

Don't get too overwhelmed just yet... this looks like the beginning of a finale,
but we aren't standing in line at the bank just yet. As promising as this is, it's
STILL Iraq we're talking about.

:twocents:

As much as I'd love to give you all something more than that, there simply isn't
more to tell. We're all on a "wait-and-see" status for the HCL, so let's all just do
the most productive thing we can right now... and cross our fingers for some
major HCL movement tomorrow or any other upcoming day (SOON!).

:twothumbs:

Here's the weekly Q's:

==========================================

Hi Adam. Is it possible for CBI to block any exchange (IQD to other currencies) process outside of Iraq except for those that have an Iraq-related bank accounts after the RV? Maybe they want to minimize the exchange that may be done by ISIS personnel outside of Iraq, just my curiosity.

That's a good question. My opinion is that the benefits of having an internationally traded currency will far outweigh any possibility of interfering with ISIS, so they will not benefit from blocking outside exchanges.

No worries for us there. :twothumbs:

....
Thank you Adam and your support team for all that you have done. I feel the time for
RV is near! Do you think that Option trading
Might start during a float, before float or ever?

Each of those possibilities has potential, and I can list a few reasons for and against each.

After giving that situation a LOT of thought, I've decided that it really doesn't matter which they choose - all are good in their own way, and I'm prepared to benefit from each possibility.

Hello,

Do you think that a change to monetary policy can occur after the first quarter of the year?

Absolutely not. The CBI can (and WILL) tweak policy whenever they feel like it.

Abadi's visit to Washington this month have any significance towards the RV?

I used to pay more attention to those international visits, but at this point I think the details are etched in stone and we're just waiting for the curtain to be pulled back so we can see what's there.

Hi Adam, I have read articles stating the HCL is done just not implemented. It seems every week 10 more things surface that have to be completed or needs attention. Here we are in the 4th month of the year and I see it slipping by as May and June will probably do the same. how much more currency do they have to remove from circulation?  Abadi and CBI supposedly stated the value of the dinar would increase within "two Weeks".  Is this more BS?  I keep hearing that Iraq is running out of money.................where do we stand?  thanks

There is an hcA (Hydro Carbon AGREEMENT), but it's not signed into LAW. So on that point, you are hearing correctly.

With regards to Iraq "running out of money"... that will never happen so long as they are able to drill another hole in the ground.

:twocents:

Is Shabibi back at the CBI?  Is there a chance he could be back?     :twocents:

Shabs is currently an influence, but not in a formal role. Turki WAS the man officially at the helm of the CBI. CBI.iq states that the new guy is Mr.Ali Mohsen Ismail. The bottom line is simple, though... it doesn't matter which name is in the talking head position. The CBI as a unit will handle the situation efficiently.

Could Shabibi be back in the future? That's a good question. I think he's probably going to stay in the shadows. His last run in the public spotlight with an official badge on his lapel didn't treat him very well. I know I wouldn't be in a rush to hop back in that seat!

So ......Adam. what's up ?

The opposite of down, in most cases. Thanks for asking!

:tiphat:

========================================

That's it for now my friends! I'm keeping an eye on the HCL news, and I'll send out an
email if I hear anything.

Until then!

Khalati: Insert the oil and gas law in the next session of parliament

Special / newspaper integrity / Osama success - confirmed citizen Bloc member Hassan Khalati, that the general budget entirely dependent on oil imports is needed to expedite the enactment of the oil and gas law, which ensures that regulate the relationship between the governments of the center and Iraqi Kurdistan.

Khalati said in a statement (newspaper integrity) that "the next House of Representatives sessions will see the inclusion of oil and gas law on its agenda for the purpose of reading and discussion by the political blocs."

He explained that "the Act is important because it solves many of the problems that exist between Iraqi Kurdistan and the federal government and between the oil-producing provinces and therefore this law will set the oil policy in the country, noting that" there is a wide interest by the parliamentary blocs to complete the enactment of this law, the fact that the state budget is based totally dependent on the proceeds of oil resources.

The MP for the coalition of citizen that "the nuclear deal between the United States and other major powers and Iran would be in favor of Iraq and is in line with the aspirations of the stability and the start of a new chapter of harmony between different At.anthy 4

We will certainly see what is going to occur with the HCA / HCL. I still don't believe that HCL is the lynch pin of the RV. They have great areas of criticality with security, counterfeiting, corruption in government, etc. Further, I believe that they are fine operating with the HCA and the modifications they have made since March. Signing or reading it for the first and second time and subsequently putting it in the Gazette will not trigger the RV.  We still seem to have a way to go folks.

Thanks Adam.

I thought Turki was out?

I apologize for the confusion and I'll edit the post.

Turki is officially as "out" as Shabibi, which is to say he's not really "out"... but according to CBI.iq, the new "head cheese" is

Mr.Ali Mohsen Ismail

Not that it matters, but for the record... I'll edit the post.
