You can take this two ways, either I was referring to Umbertino or the author.

-

Well, all Umbertino said was that Cruz was running...hardly stunning or communist rhetoric.

Bigwaves comment was straight from the birthers playbook.

So - just to throw some gas on the fire....*LOL*

The Constitution says any candidate for president must be 35 years of age, a resident within the United States for 14 years and a "natural born citizen."

So what is a "natural born" citizen? The Constitution doesn’t specifically say.

The Congressional Research Service published a report on the issue after the 2008 election; the agency is tasked with providing authoritative research to all members of Congress. It supported the thinking that "natural born" citizenship means citizenship held "at birth."

Cruz was born in Canada in 1970 because his father was working for the oil industry there. The senator’s recently released birth certificate shows his mother was born in Delaware and his father was born in Cuba. The Cruz family left Canada a few years later. By virtue of his American-born mother, Cruz, has citizenship by birth. This fit's the basic definition so far.

But the Supreme Court -- the ultimate arbiter of constitutional questions -- has never ruled on the matter. And that means a note of uncertainty remains.

Umbertino... this is a disgustingly disrespectful article.  Of ALL the articles you could have chosen to start a conversation about Senator Cruz and you choose this trash?  You deserve to get the crap negged outa ya for this one... and let me be the first to express my displeasure!  NEG

Heres what we need to know -

He was born in Canada to a US born woman that lived there. She married a Cuban and thus is not eligible to be a US President.

I thought the same thing bigwave. But... "Natural born citizen" is not clearly defined, open to interpretation and precedent has been set.

IT HAS BEEN DECIDED!  Ted Cruz IS eligible.

Umbertino has a extreme leftist/socialist/communist trend when he posts political articles on Dinarvets.  I have yet to see him post a single conservative article. I've always felt troubled by that since he is not a US Citizen. The other thing that troubles me, is that he seems to not want to defend his position and will frequently just post the article and not make any further comments to support his post.  In other words, he likes to fart in a room full of people then walk out and close the door behind him.

Actually that is straight from the Obama birthers playbook.

Please explain the correlation.  The trouble with Obama’s birth certificate is that it has never been produced and the “birthers” as you call them claim the certificate of live birth that was produced is fake.  Are you saying Cruz’ actual birth certificate is fake, or just stirring the pot as usual?

I took the article from the Telegraph.. I don't think it's considered a dangerous communist and/or revolutionary newspaper... Readers will decide ( as usual)

I respect your opinion, obviously... Ok I don't put conservative articles... Many people here do that already anyway....I try to report articles with another perspective .. Readers will decide ( as usual)

So let me get this straight. Umbertino has been here almost

5 years, has never been disrespectful towards anyone, does

not bully, belittle, argue, nor write with venom, yet he gets

targeted for being a 'communist' and a 'political troll'?

What would he be if he blindly agreed with all the other

'political trolls'? A person of unblemished character? The

logic makes little sense, judging someone in this fashion.

At least he understands manners and respectfully interacting

with others, without resorting to insults, which to me is worth

FAR more than how he thinks or does not think about politics

or any other subject. Everyone is entitled to their opinions,

or lack thereof, upon which one can respectfully agree or

disagree without the label.

WELL said Jim!! I thought feedom of speech was one of the things that Americans hold dear above all else, but it appears to me that far too many on this forum ha ve become polarized with a one-sided view of things in the world, and simply knee-jerk attack anyone with a differing, or unpopular opinion without at least breaking things down logically and discussing them as adults...I don't agree with much of what Umbertino posts, but I do take the time to read and think on what he has shared.....Thanks Umbert, and keep 'em coming!!

I am sure Umbertino is a nice guy, and my observations start from 2011, and that has been my experience with his posts.  I have challenged Umbertino on numerous posts asking him why he posts what he posts, and the above is the first time he has ever responded. If he truly agrees with the Communist Socialist Far Left agenda, how would that be an insult?  That would be like you calling me a conservative, its not an insult.

Jim and thegente, I agree with what you both said.  We all have our opinions and I truly enjoy looking at both sides of the coin and can respect someone's opinion even if differing from mine.  What I don't agree with is attacking someone personally just because they do not agree with your opinion, right or wrong.

I believe this post was just made as someone bringing information over and do what you will with it.  Whether it was or is his opinion, not important, just debate it with facts if you are so inclined.

Now that's hilarious. When the experts said that even IF Obama had been born in Kenya, which he was not, he would still be natural born, you guys screamed.

The only entity that can say whether or not Cruz is eligible for certain is the Supreme Court, and they have not ruled, so it is not decided.

Yea hilliary was the original birther.

Nope.

Or, perhaps Umbert does not like to fuel the drama that is always present in political threads?

AMEN

That’s because you do not find the conservative point of view on the peoples’ world too often.

Sorry, only the extremely ignorant claim that the document produced by the republican government of Hawaii and verified several times by that entity is fake.

Whether or not Cruz's is remains to be seen.

However, under the rules created by the birther movement, Cruz is ineligible.

If he doesn't like the drama, don't make the post.  Pretty simple.  He's a political troll.

1. With a few exeptions (ie, Nazi's, Hate Speech) Everyone is allowed to Post what they believe and Umbertino's post are not censored.  Thus the reason we are discussing this topic now.

2. As far as I am concerned, all three are un-American...

1.  He frequently re-posts political articles from Communist and Socialist websites without following up in the discussion.  See definition below:

 Internet Troll

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

2. You and me both.  It is my prayer that our Government would follow what our Founding Fathers had intended for us to be and their advice concerning how to govern.
