No RI/RV until the War is Over.

Recommended Posts

I hesitate to put this out but I would like to get feedback on what I was thinking about.

It seems logical to me that the GOI wants a unified country without ISIS, Daash, Al-Qaida, Dissidents, and political figures such as Maliki before they even consider the RI/RV.

Why would you want to raise the value of the currency that they use to buy munitions, troops, vehicles, etcetera to use against you?

Logically, you would want to rid the country of the enemy, unify the country and then repay the loyal countrymen with a bright a prosperous future.

I don’t see an RI/RV happening until the war is over and country is secure. Could be many months yet. Further I don’t see Albadi’s visit to Washington as anything other than asking for yet more US support to get this done.

They will accomplish this but it will take more time. While we wait, they will be getting all the laws, infrastructure, banking, ISX and other loose ends tied up. Then we will see the RI/RV.

As much as I wanted this RI/RV happen, I just can’t see it. I have to be “Real” about this. Until the war is over and the political corruption is removed, I don’t believe we will see an RI/RV.

They/we are making great progress and spending millions each day to see that this is happening. Many reports of cities being retaken and peace restored. I hope and pray that this will occur before I can even finish this post and another life is taken.

Well then, we all might as well dump our IQD now.

IF, and that's a HUGE if, the end of war WAS the trigger,

then the RV/RI/R-Whatever is never going to happen.

Hang on, and untwist your panties for a second.

The Middle East has been one huge war zone

for how many CENTURIES now?

All these people know how to do is fight and

screw over infidels every chance they get.

And they can make anything take longer than

necessary...

Ya! and they jumped right on the problem when ISIS invaded. It is one reason after another to delay the RV. what will it be next week, next month, next year. Lets start a list and see what we can come up with.

Yes, if this is what we are waiting on wall paper you garage with the Dinar.

I understand where you are coming from. My point is that they have to address the current problem of terrorism and corruption. Who gives a darn about history at this point. Let's come up to modern day issues.

You can cash out you IQD if you think it best, but I'll hang on to mine.

I see and end to this but not until the security issue is resolved.

Other countries have the same concern. Why would you invest in an unsecure IRAQ!

Djgabriele, I can see real logic with everything you said in this article. I agree, or at least aquiese with the premise. Yet as others have pointed out, this is the Middle East not the West. Our definition of a secure and peaceful Iraq will be defined by the culture of the region. Will they ever truly have peace? Probably not, by our definition. Can I see the RV or R-whatever (I like that) not happening till a month or two after they officially kick ISIS out? Yup, sure can see that. I just hope they can reassign their troops to Border Patrol, second and third lines of defense, with Federal Troops to rapidly deploy to hot spots with overwhelming power when necessary. Or something like that for internal security. Then after they get richer and richer, they can exercise proxy wars like the other rich countries in their area of operation, just to keep the enemies occupied and not thinking about invading Iraq ever again. JMHO

Thanks for starting the discussion out there.

When did you become a moderator?

PS, I also think they ought to go after seizing back ISIS's stolen Iraqi funds. Just like they hopefully will do when they prosecute Maliki and cronnies for his/their high crimes and misdemeanors.

I agree djgabrielle....in a way!

Seems they are always at war within the tribes, another potential delay is the constant threat of the Kurds withdrawing frow the GOI.

This could also be a major damper to any RI/RV actions!  Just my opinion even though I hate to face up to the reality of the situation!  :twocents:

Been waiting so long.  :rocking-chair:

Thanks dj ! The list of things to go right for this debenture is endless, I prefer to keep this simple either it's going to happen or not. We all have our reasons for being here, and I have even learned a lot about how a democracy is formed. Two things that are a  fact, if the United States does not help Iraq they will not succeed and If the United States doesn't accept oil in repayment for all that we have given them, the USA will never be repaid. If anyone does not believe these facts please tell me why or how you arrived at your conclusions. Further more if the United States decides to accept the IQD as a viable currency that is all that we need to possibly make a profit on this exchange. We are still the worlds super power until we get our A$$ whipped, and until then fiat currency will reign, and so will the USA !   :salute:

In 2010 I became a moderator Kevin. Thanks for your input. I think you are right that they will never have total peace but maybe it will be more on a level of something seen in the west. At least peace and secure enough to travel to or invest in. :twothumbs:

Amen to that Tex. I also believe that the US will maintain bases there from now on just to keep an eye on Iraq/Iran/Syria.

According to some other people, the media is about three days behind in reporting the news about the war on ISIS, Dash and Al Qaeda.

I know that they are making great progress in Iraq and only hope that the war is coming to an end.

Most of the news sources that I visit consistently report on a daily basis about car bombs, roadside killings and suicide bombings. Perhaps this is mostly smoke.

I wonder if life means so little to these people that they can't rise up after a loved one is killed going to the market? Or are they just so scared about these Terrorist groups that they let them do what they want in fear of reprisal?

Sadly IMO car bombs, roadside killings, & suicide bombing is the norm in that part of the world...........and is here to stay. It is now a way of life & a part of their culture.  To many warring factions that have hated one another for centuries.
