World Bank donates to Iraq for 6-trillion budget

BAGHDAD ... revealed an economic expert peace Sumaisem, Wednesday, for the World Bank donated $ 6 trillion dinars to Iraq in order to reduce the projected deficit in the federal budget for 2015

Sumaisem said, in a statement to "Ein Iraq News", "The final report of the budget must be under certain controls, which reduce the deficit first, and reduce overhead by and increase overall revenues by the last second," indicating that "the World Bank donated 6 trillion in order to reduce the deficit in the Iraqi budget. "

I seriously doubt the WB is doing this out of the kindness of their heart. Those kinds of donations come with strings. Probably along the lines of more control or say so when it comes to fiscal policy, if I was to make a guess.

One would think the HCL was included in the 2015 budget - I can't see the World Bank giving a loan without a major payback in the future - like the RV.

From the budget article Yota posted:

Estimates of the federal budget for fiscal year 2015 revenues of $ [94,048,364,139] thousand dinars, where is calculated revenues from export of crude oil on the basis of the average price of 56 dollars per barrel and the rate of export of [3300000] barrels per day, including [250000] bpd amounts oil produced in the province of Kurdistan and [300000] barrel for crude oil volumes through the province of Kirkuk.

 

This tells me (unless I'm reading it wrong) that the HCL has been deicided upon - which region is designated, what rate per day, etc.
