Thaiexpat
Hope it works http://www.lewrockwell.com/2014/12/no_author/dont-believe-the-party-line/ Great article about the REAL reasons for a MI/heart attack. I was saying this over5 years ago from information I gleened from a Dr.Mesquite in Brazil. Certain points to look for: strophanthin: natural plant extract HRV: I've been using this for years in looking for differences in the 2 sides of the ANS. Basically, measuring stress. Adrenal Glands: actually there are 3 parts to consider, but the 2 mentioned in the article explain its function very well. Google: Raglands Orthostatic Hypotension test to see how to check your adrenal function (Yes, it is not the greatest most accurate test, but its a start). No GRAIN Diet: I cant stress this enough. Cholesterol/fats have NOTHING TO DO with a heart attack, high blood pressure, being fat, ect. I have been on a high fat, NO GRAIN diet (not a low carb diet, because I eat a ton of veggies and some fruits) for aqlmost a decade (Yes, before it became popular. I was introduced to Dr. Page's ideas in the mid-90's. Melvin Page is the fellow who pre-dated Dr. Atkins by about 40 years) and I am over 50, ripped with only body-weight exercises, have a ton of energy, full head of hair that is 95% black (a few whites appearing, but not much and I pluck them! hahaha), libido out the roof (even more when I was 18) and overall a happy camper. To your health. Cheers
umbertino
Interesting... Just the last week at the hypertension center ( where I had gone just for a routine check..have been suffering from BP for many years now...but thought I had it under control...) the lady doc told me that I might be at risk ( Heart Attack) as my BP was over the top ( my fault.. I had messed around with regular pills intake...)....My min was 110 and max . was 200... The next day I re-started my reg. therapy. Let's see.. I'm 57...My Father ( who didn't suffer from BP) died of a heart attack at 67 Edited December 19, 2014 by umbertino

Thaiexpat
Hey Umberto, First Meery Christmas from this wandering Jew in SE Asia. Finally, cold here. What do you eat? This is critical. When I used to get flight physicals in the Marines. my BP was 135/88 (in that range). I was a vegetarian, eating organic (as best I could),ect. Since eating a high fat diet of GOOD fats (animal fats, lard, butter, coconut/avocado and olive oils) and cutting-out completely the grains, my BP is running 115/72. Before, cholesterol levels were 220 range. Now, 160 range. Exercise? Cardio is worthless basically. Google, High-Low Intensity training/ PACE Excercise, ect. I run for 20 seconds with 10 seconds rest. I do it ONLY for EIGHT MINUTES. I do it only 2 days per week. Again. I am in better shape NOW then when I was young devil-dog in the Marines. Chess mentioned some tests: right C-RP should be VS (high sensitvity or vertical scale) Therefore, CRP-VS. Homocysteine is good, as is HbA1c-long term sugar levels. Drink Distilled water 3-4 cups upon rising. Take Magnesium 800mg or more, and meditate or relax. Hope this helps. The meds DONT cure. The LIFESTYLE will Cheers
dantach
Umbertino: I am 77 years old. Everyone in my family has a bad heart. My mother lived the longest in our family ( other than me ) She was 68 when she died. I take maximum doses of 3 B vitamins. B6, B9, B12. these three kill Homocysteines which plugs your arteries. I have congestive heart failure, for which I take D-Rybose 1000 mg per day. I had my heart attack at your age, none since. I still work 3 days a week. Good luck my friend.
