ISXers Prayer Request

Hey guys,

It's been a long time since I've posted on here. I don't have any news on the ISX, I just have a prayer request from ya'll.

My big brother passed tonight. He was 32. I ultimately don't know if he was saved or not. He came to the Lord a couple of years ago and was on fire, cleaned himself up, but then lapsed into addiction again. My heart is killing me. Death is painful, but when you know there is eternity and judgment, the feeling of not knowing the state of your loved one is a special kind of pain. It's dark and it hurts. Please pray for my family, especially my mother and youngest brother. And please say a prayer for me. I need peace of mind.

Thanks guys. God bless you.

Oh Rightsonword,

I am so sorry to hear this...so sad for you right now...my heart just aches for you and your family. I'm at a loss for words other than to assure you that I'm sure your brother never forgot about Christ or his teachings that started a fire in his heart. He may have not been able to fight off the his addiction but that will be forgiven. He found and accepted Christ and that is what matters. If your big bother had any influence in shaping who you are and if you helped shape his life (which I'm sure is true) then I am also sure he was an extra-ordinary human being. I think the world of you Rights and I am most certainly send up prayers for you and your family right now and will continue sending up special payers for your mom. I hope God can send you and your family some measure of peace and comfort. I know it's so hard to say goodbye to someone you love so much. His love is still with you though... love transcends all boundaries of time and space. Keep yours eyes open to the nature all around you for the next while Rights... Heaven is connected to nature and nature connects us to the other side... sometimes our loved ones can send us messages that way. I just felt compelled to tell you that.

Much Love and Many Prayers coming your way,

Hugs Maggie

Rightonword,
God does not turn a loving heart away. Just because someone has addiction does not mean they do not have a loving heart. These people, in fact, are some of the more sensitive, and loving ones on the planet and turn to the crutches of drugs, alcohol, sex addiction, etc because they cannot cope with such openness. I send prayers for you and your family. May ya'll know God's love and find peace and comfort and trust in it for yourselves and for your brother.
In support and prayer,

Red

Rightsonword,

The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels Rev. 3:5.

God knows what He is doing. Our Journey is not always a pretty one but our destination is well worth the journey. I pray for your strength and your family's strength in the Lord!

Rightsonword,

So sorry to hear this.  If he had become a Christian earlier and believed that Jesus Christ is Lord and our Savior and died for our sins then I think that there are consideration God takes into account for addiction/suicide.  When people are addicted they are not "in their right mind" and make bad decisions.  When he was in his right mind and clear headed he chose to believe in Jesus and I think that is what matters.

I will pray for peace for you and your family.  I know its hard losing a family member and seems there is no way to get thru the day.  But morning comes and a new day starts.  Just take each day as it comes and don't look too far ahead for now.

God Bless You and Your Family

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your brother.  there is nothing we can do to bring your brother back.  But take comfort that God is a good God and sometimes we don't know the whole thing but Deut 29:29 says the secret belongs to God and what He reveals to us, it's for us to know.  We don't know the mystery of God but I believe God gives all of us a second chance.  You never know what's going on at the nick of time.  When my mom was passing, she was not a believer and I prayed for her salvation.  I took comfort on the vision that the Lord gave me of Him extending His hands to my mother and she took His hands.

I pray for peace and comfort and grace to cover you and your family.  May He cover all of you with His healing wings.

Let us know if you need anything else, okay :)

You have my prayers Rightsonword, just experienced our first death in the family, (my brother-in-law) and the pain is unbearable, the pain to watch the living suffer is what hurts so much as well... but through our Lord you will find peace and comfort.  Lean on His strength.  Know that your brother will have our prayers to guide him to Our Father in heaven, know that his addiction is gone and now he will dwell in God's love.  A love that we should all pray to experience with our loved ones that have gone before us.  Rightsonword your peace of mind will come, it will come...love on the Lord.

My heart aches for you and I will offer it up for you and your family.

Mods might want to put this in the Off Topic section, so that more DV members can be given an opportunity to answers his prayer request.

Rightsonword - I understand your pain, and I know how hard it is to keep going sometimes. You definitely have my prayers -

Heavenly Father, we pray for the soul of the Rightsonword's brother. Welcome him into your house as the father welcomed his prodigal son, . "He was lost, but he is found."; and as your Son said to the penitent thief,  "Amen I say to you today you will be with me in Paradise."    Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, let perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace.

We also ask You to reach out and surround those who are missing this person with Your comfort and love. Give them the strength they need and help them to understand that the tears shed in mourning are truly tears of love, that in hugging one another they are passing that love and love truly is one of the greatest healers. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen

Dear friend, I pray God's peace and comfort covers you like a warm blanket. I believe our spirit is sealed in righteousness when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. That cannot be taken away. I have only to look at the words of God in the bible and the people He cherished and used to bring others to Christ. Even after being chosen of God many Many did just awful things and God still forgave and used them for His purpose. God did not give us the Spirit of fear. Fear not. God has your brother.

Thank you all so much for the uplifting words. I wish I could express how much they have touched me and helped me in this time. As the funeral approaches, I'll remember your words and love and the scriptures provided.

Thanks again from the deepest part of my heart.

God bless you all always.

Life is always hard to understand but death is harder to comprehend. I have no religion nor do I want any. Just remember that it is written somewhere on the day you are born so it's written the day you will die. Enjoy your memories of him not why or how he is gone. Time will treat you easily and will be gentle about your pain.

rightsonword, so sorry to hear of this. It is painful, but you have much reason to

be filled with joy and understand that God is not a monster, and that He IS

LOVE...not our kind of love, but His love is beyond our understanding and can never

be compared with the conditional love that humanity offers. Fear has torment, but

PERFECT love casts aside that fear. May you experience that perfect love not only

during this painful moment, but throughout the ages to come, along with your brother.

Do not allow traditions of men to steal away your love and joy. :)

Our prayers are with you!

Rightsonword, had not checked the ISX blogg in a while. I know this is late, but I'm sure your family can still use blessingS and wordS for you to hang in there. God takes those for a reason, as he keeps others around for a reason. In God's eyes you and your family still have a mission to acomplish while you here. So seek your mission, stay the course and continue to be blessed while doing so.

Continued Blessings to you and your family.

ISXrs prayer request,

I experienced a similar situation in September with one of my brothers.

The Word of God states in Romanas 10 :9, 10.

" That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"

Because you know at one point your brother served God to the best of his ability, I believe you and your family can have peace knowing that your brother is eternally saved. The above 2 verses have NOTHING to do with one's actions. Salvation is according to BELIEVING the above verses.

You and yours can take comfort in knowing that although very painful now, rest in the fact that you will be in Heaven ETERNALLY with him!!  God Bless..WH
