It doesn't make sense if they are planning on doing anything at all with the currency.  I agree with you that this is good to take care of the counterfeit problem but, if they plan on an RV or delete the zero's anytime soon, this was a big waste of time and money. 

 

Kinda like going clear around your A$$ to get to your elbow.

With this in mind, perhaps they shalt delete the 000s from the rate not the notes?  I dunno, just sayin'.

Speaking of currency . we have recent articles saying 40 trillion dinar (maybe more ) in circulation . Where was that currency when can drivers were not accepting damaged dinar ? Where was that currency when shop owners and customers were tearing the notes in half to buy goods one week and then come back later for more with the other half of the note . And not forgetting about the currency shortage in Kurdistan either . I personally think between smart cards and even these new notes . They are far less than 40 plus trillion in circulation.
