Frogee
Do you think that Iraq would RV with ISIL holding so much Dinar. That would make them billionars. You realize they took the bank in Mosal and other cities. Just wondering.
rulesforrebels
A country can't just decide to rv, they have to have an economy to back that value. Also as I mentioned in another post on the whole concept of an rv. In the USA you see how politicans, busineses powerful people always find a way to enrich themselves as the expense of the middle class and joe schmos. When ever has a country, government, powerful people gone out of their way to just enrich the masses? I've said since day one a "rv" as in an overnight explosion in value would never happen, you are investing hoping that it goes up either slowly or even rapidly overtime but there's no magic button someone has the power to push that will make an entire country wealthy.

My question still remains, would Iraq raise the value of the Dinar by even the smallest amount with ISIL holding so much. Nelg
The banks taken may have had more USD than IQD since their proud boasts were about the $ amount they had taken. But with so much being know about the members of ISIL, the banks could put a ban on any ISIL associate coming to "cash in." Which they could do to all dinar holders from USA or (you name the country). Just because we "hold them" in no sign that we can "unload them." gymrat76541
That is true! Iraq banks have much more in dollars than what the dinars are worth! LOL ISIS are receiving vast funding from whoever and they are making money by selling oil, women and whatever else they can get their hands on. I think that making them richer is not a consideration for the Iraq banks. Their goal is to make their currency worth more than the toilet paper it curently is worth at present! So i highly doubt they got away with anything. Edited September 25, 2014 by easyrider
dinarmite
They claim to be bringing in 3 million a day with oil, either way they have money to fund the BS they are pulling. It has to be someone's job to take them out.

Iraq has the value to raise it's currency, but we do not know how muc,h as it depends on how they do it How much do you believe they are actually holding? John Kerry is right... Al queda, ISIL, ISIS. Same Same. Kick them back to Syria and Turkey. Been an irritant for many number of years. But of no factor in the big picture. If you really understand ISIL and what is really going on over there from a military standpoint does you question actually have a point?

It is worthless in trade. The CBI needs to watch the dollar trades in contested areas.

coorslite21
Banks, here there, and everywhere, are all structured alike if they are a part of the Central banking system. The funds they control are almost completely digital. Try going into your local bank and ask to withdraw over $6000......and they will tell you to come back the next day and they will have it, and then ask you in the future to call ahead. This is how Fractional Reserve banking works along with the crazy derivative Ponzi program they all use......and this why I wouldn't be too concerned about the "physical banks" ISIS has robbed....They contained very little cash.......
