Hey hey it's hump day! :camel:

Good morning everyone - today is Wednesday, September 24
2014.

You might not believe this at first, and you probably need to sit
down before you read this next sentence...

Parliament actually moved a date UP for possibly the first time
in recorded history! LINK

Even crazier than that groundbreaking, record setting, earth
shattering news is this... THEY ACTUALLY DID IT!

But wait, it gets better!

On the table today or tomorrow is the Budget, which is always a
big pain in the neck... but check DinarThug's post (post #3) in
this thread ( LINK ) and you'll notice they are talking

about a paltry increase (from 17% to 20%) in funds to Kurdistan. Let
me piece that together real quick:

Kurdish OIL profits are currently bypassing Baghdad, which is a
pretty forcing move by the KRG. I've been saying for a while now that
Baghdad is going to have to start playing nice, and with Maliki out of
the throne and a more cooperative Abadi at the helm... it's looking
more and more like Iraq is going to become significantly more
unified, and we have front row seats.

The next obvious step after the budget is the HCL, and of course - no
question in my mind AT ALL - once the HCL is done, we WILL see the
dinar going UP!

The bottom line right now is this - We're seeing a lot of major changes
in Iraq. Abadi has a lot of work to do to clean up all of Maliki's mess,
but when the Iraqi Parliament acts faster than expected... things are

heating up, and in a GOOD way!

That's all there is to be said at this time, so here's the weekly Q&A:

fred5688  When do you think the HCL will be all cleared up?

I hate to "jinx" it... but it really looks like they are moving dates up, and

we could see it very .... (cringe)... *soon*.

*Fingers crossed!*

yendor  If and after this HCL passes and there is no RV,  THEN where are we ?  I know this is playing the "what if " game, but there have been so many disappointments after "important things" have happened, one just has to wonder......   I know, we'll just have to wait and see !

Good question yendor. Here's my opinion, and you can go through the

archives to verify that I am not a flip-flopper - I have always said this.

The most important things for Iraq, the things that NEEDED to happen

before an RV, were always these:

1. Seated GOI (99% DONE, and even better - we definitely have a better

GOI than ever before!)

2. Chapter 7 released (DONE.)

3. HCL (SO CLOSE!)

3 things... that's all I wanted. Right now we have 2 down, one to go... and

that last one is perched on the edge, about to fall onto the scorecard as a

WIN.

:twocents:

fred5688  Adam,  Do you this will happen, before they take another religous holiday?

If next week is considered a religious holiday, then my answer is "no".

However... I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how much

got done during Ramadan this year. I think we are looking at a new

Iraq, so I'm not ruling anything out at this time.

robert c   I know you don't make predictions but will the rv happen first or will the packers win again before the rv?
I know what it is like being a bengals fan.

Ughhh... Rodgers definitely had a bad day last Sunday, and the play calling

didn't help.

Nice season so far for the Bengals! :)

new york kevin   Dude: I must ask, now with the practically empty DFI fund and the ISIS crisis, will we see an RV after all the laws are passed or do we have to wait till after they arrest Maliki?

Maliki is still making news, but he's not making much difference. :twocents:

ISIS is a problem, and I hope I never understate that - In my opinion, they

should be destroyed mercilessly. Anyone found to be associating with them

in any way should be hanged publicly. They are an EVIL that can not be

dealt with by any means other than FORCE. But with all that said, Iraq is

retaking their country and they should be able to move forward in spite of

the cowardly, faceless, and spineless devil-spawn that is ISIS.

And regarding the DFI - the CBI doesn't need the DFI to be solvent in order

for them to manipulate their own currency.

MNPhila   Adam - Just finished "Becoming Your Own Banker" based on your recommendation a couple of weeks ago. Thanks!  It's an eye-opening book that everyone on DV should read. Can you recommend any other books on similar or related subjects?  Thanks for everything that you and your staff do for this community!

Hey MNPhila, very glad to hear that you took that advice! I encourage ALL

of us to never stop educating ourselves... read, read, read!

I'll put some more thought into specific books... looking in my nightstand, I

see that I have a copy of "Incorporate and Get Rich" - which of course is one

of the cornerstones for the Asset Protection and Wealth Retention strategies

we talk about in the VIP/OSI sections here at DinarVets. That book was also

mentioned in Robert Kiyosake's, "Rich Dad Poor Dad", which is a little

cheesy at points, but the principals are undeniable and everyone should at

least give it a chance!

And not to toot my own horn (toot! toot!), but the pinned topics in the VIP

and OSI sections right here on DinarVets are full of a WEALTH of knowledge,

gained through years of investing in paid legal and financial counsel and

also the combined wisdom of our VIP members - some of whom are

already millionaires. I myself have been through the Series 65 Exam (the course

you have to pass to be a financial advisor) and am a successful entrepreneur

in real estate and various other businesses, and I'm an Accredited Investor. I'm

not just talking the talk... I'm walking the walk, and I'd love for others to join us

and the other spirited and successful members in the VIP section.

With that said, check this out: Protect your investment: Link

(I love doing these weekly chats, but if anyone is interested in not only reaping

major rewards Post RV and also access to many like-minded individuals

immediately - get in the VIP section now! Here's the link: https://www.dinarsupport.com/support/cart.php )

djgabrielie  Would you comment on the remaining things that need to be accomplished after the HCL is passed? I realize that the list is long so just keep it to the say top 5 biggest events that need to be completed in your opinion.  Thank you.  btw: I corrected your post yendor.  I would also like to thank our armed forces both here and abroad. Especially Jenn and Sam who give me the real skinny on ISIL and other al qaeda factions.

There's really not a lot... ducks are lining up in nice little rows right now, and

we're just watching in anticipation!

:twothumbs:

Chartman17  Hello Adam, thank you for all you and the mods do.  I have purchased some Dong that will not be in a Long-Term Capital Gain situation until Jan 2015 and May 2015, do you think the rates will remain close to what they come out with the RV?

Hey there Chartman17 - first and foremost, I'm not sure where you are

getting the information about long term/short term/etc, but I have to speak

on that first.

NOBODY can say for sure how we will be taxed on any of these currencies

that have a chance to revalue. If you want proof of that, you can do a couple

things (I've done all of them myself):

1. Call the IRS 10-15 times and ask the same questions while speaking

to different IRS agents. You'll quickly find out that not even the IRS knows

how we will be taxed.

Seriously - do it. How to contact the IRS

(Ask open-ended questions, record the callS, and please share with us!)

2. Hire multiple experts in foreign investing, high level tax law, and legal

counsel related to the taxation on windfalls, extreme revaluations, or anything

similar to our situation. Your jaw would DROP if I shared how much I've

spent on exactly this... and the final answer is this: NOBODY can guarantee

their advice is 100% correct, and EVERYONE admits that there is room for

error.

#1 and #2 above is exactly why it is so important to at least consider protecting

yourself and your assets with our OSI program (you'll find it in the VIP section.)

It's not for everyone... but don't say I didn't warn you! :)

But, Chartman17 - before I finish addressing what I think may be a VERY

dangerous assumption you are making based on possible bad advice, I want

to say "thank you" to your boots on the ground! I have the utmost respect

for our troops and I continue to support the WWP.

And while we wait for parliament to convene and do some work,
here's a video of TWELVE of our finest dominating...

... a porta potty. Enjoy. :)

Parliamentary Finance: Adoption of the budget next week

BAGHDAD / ... tipped the head of the parliamentary finance committee Magda al-Tamimi, on Tuesday, that is to vote on the Federal Budgeting for the current year next week in the House of Representatives.

Al-Tamimi said in a statement the "eye Iraq News", that "next Saturday Sikad Cabinet extraordinary session to discuss the federal budget for the current year," likely to "be voted on in the House of Representatives early next week."

It added that "according to the Financial Administration Act and the public debt is not permitted to incorporate the budget next year before the current year because it would cause problems for the Iraqi economy," adding that "discussions are still ongoing between the political parties on increasing the share of the Kurdistan region of financial stakes," pointing out that "the region's share of Federal Budgeting is 17% and have made a request to the Baghdad government on the provision of increasing them up to 20%. "

The MP for the mass citizen Mona Gurabei has shown that he will be voting on the budget bill as soon as it reaches the House of Representatives. / Ended 6

Hello Adam, I am using the tried and true old Long Term Capital Gain measurement of 1 year and 1 day.  This measurement has been used for decades, however, I will do some more research with some of "my guys" who are former I.R.S. agents and current I.R.S. agents.  Thank you for your comments and everything you do.  I am an OSI member and I may not be able to get to our appointed meeting, but, I will be VERY Interested in knowing your OSI/VIP seminar schedule so I can invest, invest, invest in things I don't have a clue about now...lol  :eyebrows:

I believe what Adam is referring to is the fact that we actually hold physical currency. When (not "if") the value of the currency changes and you go to  a financial institution, it  may be considered a nothing more than a functional currency exchange.  Any foreign exchange gain or loss from a functional currency transaction is separate from the gain or loss in the underlying transaction, and is treated as an ordinary gain or loss. Length of time holding it is not a factor in that case.

However - that's just one scenario and as far as I can tell, the verdict is still out on this - and will be until we have a few "trial cases",  As soon as all conditions are met, I'm willing to be a trial case!!! *LOL*

1. Verdict is indeed out!

2. I'm happy to be a guinea pig too.

3. Banks are required to report transactions over $10,000 USD, and that's where it gets tricky... we can kick and scream all we want, but if the Gov freezes our account, we are SCREWED with a capital F. The smart play is to simply keep at least SOME of our funds outside of their control.

*hint hint! OSI VIP Hint Hint!*

Don't say you weren't warned! :twothumbs:

Muchas Gracias Senor Montana!

Things are getting exciting & I thought it was strange when a dinar dealer I bought from years ago sent me an email saying he was having a quick, one time only dinar sale before the POSSIBILITY of the RV with the new government, subject to be withdrawn if there was an RV, and there would be no further emails from him. I have never heard from him before today so it made me stop and think abit :excl:
