Thanks Noviceinvestor...I'd like to jump out on the limb and say we're as close as we've ever been...It's still Iraq and they're still in the business of ''smoke-n-mirrors''...the smoke aint cleared and who knows how they got the mirrors positioned....

Agree ...  I will add :

Time to Iraq is like rubber band.. they stretch it as far as they want

Holidays and breaks are more important than sitting in the meeting

Urgency is not in their vocabulary

Brawling is a way of life

Disguise is as easy as blinking for them

And as always, they can surprise us all.  I think a lot have been done behind the closed doors.. and they are not letting all out for us to read.

In any business merger, financial deal, etc., you never reveal what is about to happen to the public.  Security and secrecy are important till the deal is done.  Some will not even tell their wives or close friends.  There are reasons: a.) there is usually a lot of money involved, B) someone could mess up the deal, c) the effects may mean a significant change to lot of lives, d) other businesses and markets may be crucially influenced.  Thus, most will keep their "deals" under raps until it is done.

It is so with the RV of the dinar and is the reason that no one knows the date or rate (no matter how much they research or try and find clues to what is going to happen).  "Smoke-and-mirrors" articles are necessary to redirect and cover what is really taking place.

We are all hopeful that the time is right and deals are being done "behind closed doors." Thus the air of expectancy on DV.

yes we are.  We should see the public announcement of the new formed Government of Iraq tomorrow evening.  After that we should see the increase of the iraqi dinar within a week after the official announcement.  All imho of course.

Truthfully, imo, I think with the situation of ISIS, they have more important things on their agenda.  I'm not a dreamer on this at all.  I know people who have gone out and put themselves in debt because it's "on the verge of happening any day".  I would rather be a realist.  On the other hand, I do hope they prove me wrong very soon and I will happily announce that I misjudged it.

I too am a realist and I am beginning to think that I will still be popping into this site this time next year and still be reading the words "soon" "imminent" etc.. That's just my opinion and I often wonder what the so called Gurus are going to write about after the dinar actually revalues ( if it ever does RV).. I suppose they will start on the VND ..

I was in this from the very beginning and even me not being a financial wizard knew this was going to be a very long term investment with many risks involved. I mean we are talking about reconstructing a country.  Even if it takes another five years. so be it.

May fortune favor the foolish
