You need additional choices.  Neither of these two may indicate the reason for their access.  The assumption is that there are only two reason/ways that ISIS has of getting on social media when in reality there may be several choices.

I am just curious how our members will vote in comparison to the preliminary poll results that I saw.

 

I think our members are more savvy than most as far as the ISIL situation is concerned.

 

Hint: The questions don't concern money... they are talking about access.

The mere fact that these so called terrorists who ever they are are so proud of what they are doing and so sure their gonna kick the entire worlds butt Yet they feel the need to wear a mask as if they are afraid of something tells me they don't plan on being there and maybe walking around amongest us eventually after their victory as if they weren't involved and will be embarrassed to admit they were involved

These people are going to get their assssess kicked in so bad and they will never be the victors

And they know it

It some kind of diversion

I'm wondering what's going on in the world that they are keeping our eyes on them instead of what they are hiding

I always found it peculiar that all of these terroist groups were able/allowed to have accounts on social media... I mean even if our government didn't monitor these kinds of things you would think that the social media companies like FB, YT, Twitter, etc. WOULD!

 

There is no good excuse as to why this continues except that it is indeed ALLOWED to go on... and the more disturbing question is, what is the real REASON behind it?

Honestly both answers could be correct. I tried to find some/any articles that might be asking questions about why ISIS has had so much access to social media... especially here in the US. I found several that talked about "how" they operate but nothing even questioning "Why" they are allowed to have access. Seemed odd to me that nobody in the media was asking...
 
With NSA knowing every letter We type here or anywhere else for that matter... doesn't it seem like they could filter everything coming out from ISIS/ISIL/IS??? They could shut it down if they wanted to. JMHO
 
I'm sure you all have witnessed how on the Sunday morning talk shows... Where a politician who has been scheduled for weeks will conveniently have an article to point out backing up their position... one that was just published by lets say Washington Post that lo and behold just happened to pick up on a "leak" from a super secret squirrel "source"... then the said politician says "as confirmed" in the Washington Post just yesterday"... Yeah Right... Nice Fuel You Have There.
 
The Propaganda from ISIS to "recruit new terrorist"... Might perhaps be Propaganda used to give politicians and the media all the "Fuel" they could possibly desire to scare the American public into saying "Do Something... Do Anything... Just SAVE Us".

ISIS is hilarious.  The media would have you think that they are a ruthless,  rag tag bunch of guys who just happened to get organized and begin an uprising.  On one hand they will have you believe that muslims are so inept that they can't perform an underwear bombing because the man never changed his underwear, then on the other hand they will have you believe that under the surveillance of the United States these guys were able to get funding for a bunch of white brand new Toyota pick up trucks and machine guns bolted to the beds along with their Jolly Roger flags and everything.  They will also have you believe that hip hop artists from the UK, John the Beatle, and hip hop artist from the US with strangely familiar name, Douglas McArthur McCain, just happen to join the fight with ISIS and behead an American journalist who nobody has ever heard of and has a sister who looks just like the sister of classmate of Adam Lanza the Sandy Hook shooter.  

 

Some people will believe anything.
