Army clears areas north of Fallujah

Ramadi / NINA / Army troops cleared areas north of Fallujah from the control of the Islamic State.

A security source told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / army troops, backed by Awakening forces, a military operation was carried out today on the villages adjacent to Saqlawiyah 8 km north of Fallujah.

He added that the joint forces cleaned these villages fully and killed a number of terrorists while others fled to an unknown destination.

The source said military units will continue heading to Saqlawiyah to clear the city of Fallujah from the elements of the Islamic State. / End
