World News : Umbertino reported live from Tel Aviv while ducking the missiles J Israel and Palestine are heating up as Israel intensifying air strikes day after Hamas rejected an Egyptian cease-fire proposal.  Death toll in Gaza said to be more than 200.  Hamas says Israel fired missiles at homes of 4 senior leaders today.  Israel calls on residents near Gaza border to leave their homes ahead of more strikes.  A-J516 heard Pakistani officials say an American drone fired 4 missiles at a compound in northwestern tribal region, killing 15 militants.  Pakistan intelligence say they have arrested key Taliban commander, Adnam Rashid linked to 2003 assissination attempt on former President Musharraf.  Captl1 was in Pentagon when he heard, the news that Russian combat troops massing along Ukraine’s border, fears Moscow sending heavy weapons to aid separatists.  Following the subway derailment in Moscow, two subway employees were detained due to switch been improperly installed.  22 were killed and more than 100 were injured in the accident.

 

Other News : Boosterbglee  doesn’t know what to think when house passes $10B bill to fund federal highway projects.  Bill expected to pass Senate, White House supports the legislation.  Fed’s Beige Book says economy expands at moderate to modest pace.  Consumer spending increases in every district, manufacturing expands in all districts.  Real estate varies across districts, home inventories are low, prices high and demand mixed.  All districts report job growth, price pressure generally contained.   Snowglobe7 wonders why Fed Chair Yellen is unwilling to report to Congress on private talks with Treasury Secy.  House bill provisions would undermind Fed independence.  Treasury Secy Jack Lew sends letter to House and Senate tax writing committees, urging lawmakers to pass legislation to curb so called tax inversion deals. Dow is up 4 straight days of trading, gaining 77 points at closing, whereas small gains for S&P500 and Nasdaq.  Gold closed at $1,306, silver at $20.90 and copper at $3.22.  Time Warner leads S&P500 on news it rejected Fox bid for $80B.   Chip maker, Intel upgraded to buy from neutral by Riley. Citigroup initiates coverage on Apple with buy rating.  NY AG settles with Apple in ebook price-fixing case, Apple can pay consumers up to $400M. Nannab is happy making a nice profit of GM stocks which has gone up a few dollars since the recall, even though GM is reported not forthright with regulators on fatal ignition switch crashes.  BoA offering to pay $13B to resolve Dept of Justice mortgage probe.   Once RVs, Thriver is going to try Four Seasons Hotel which has highest guest satisfaction score in luxury hotel segment, follows by Hilton Garden as upscale hotel, midscale is Drury Hotels and economy is Microtel Inn.  Calkid11 can’t wait to get his hands on Tesla Model III which is a new electric rival to BMW 3 series, the stock was down a bit.  Apple and IBM put rivalry to rest, as their partner to new mobile business apps for iPhone and iPad.  IBM will sell iPad, iPhones with industry-specific apps worldwide in the fall.  It will offer unique IBM cloud services and new AppleCare services.  China Q2 GDP rose 7.5%, slightly better than the expected 7.4%.  Samsung to team up with Under Armour (UA) on wearable devices.  Chess can’t believe Warren Buffett donates $2.8B in Berkshire stock to Gates Foundation, a family charities.  It’s his biggest donation those charities.  

 

From Dinar land : Vietnam1969 confirmed the queen bee killed in Baiji was one of Saddam is crazy’s worker bee.  Stealthwarrior and Iraqi security forces with help from Sandfly in the air firing Tbombs, the deadliest weapons ever making a good progress in destroying ISIL camps and putting to sleep the worker bees.  Some worker bees tried to disguise being refugees were arrested by security forces as civilians started to speak and pointing who they were.  Two car bombs exploded during shopping day and ISIL has come out and claimed responsible which were condemned by Shiites and Sunnis.  Viciousdoggie can’t believe ISIL blew up a Shiite mosque which was historic and considered one of the attractions for Shiite pilgrims.  Ministry of Education extends deadline for college applications to August 7th giving chances for all students who are displayed due to violence.  Wiljor was with the newly elected speaker of the house, al Jabouri when he received a phone call from Joe Biden to congratulate him and also telling him to speed up in forming the new GOI which will lead to quick sweep on ISIL.  The Ministry of Trade assures that there won’t be any price gauging as there are ample supplies of food domestic or imported.  The new water plant is on its last phase to be completed which will be able to supply Iraq with 910,000 cm of pure water daily until 2030.  This is a joint venture between Iraq and a French company.  In the meantime, Iranian Oil Ministry says they are ready to export natural gas to Iraq and expected the pipelines to be done by March next year.  KRG and Turkish government agree to increase Kurdish oil exporation through Ceyhan terminal from 150,000 barrels/day to 250,000 barrels/day.  Saint shook his head when he heard Maliki accused KRG of harboring terrorists that triggered Barzani, the head of KRG like an angry lion.  Iraqi politicians and officials express their confidence in Iraq’s economic future once ISIL is wiped out from their land as more and more Sunni tribal chiefs are turning against ISIL.

 

From Rumor land: BGG says good things coming in the next few days.  Tlar thinks it’s a catch 22 with Maliki.  Shredd believes as soon as GOI is seated, Turki will pull the trigger.  TerryK says quietness is designed at the very end.  Tim724 thinks everyone should get excited as the new GOI has the chance to breathe life back to Iraq and into our investment.  Stryker says the search for President has begun which ends on Sunday, July 20th at midnight and Maliki’s resignation.  Adam Montana thinks GOI likely to be completed this month.  Doc is hopeful 2015 brings a stable Iraq.

Great work as always, I can't believe that so few have commented yet... I can't understand where you come up with all the time it must take to put your files together each day. It's hard enough to find the time to scan the news and opinion sections much less come up with your own commentary.
